We were going to go back to the castle today. We were surprised to see some signs already on the parking lot that said that parking cars are being towed away that are not guests of the hotel/restaurant. The sound makes the music. The next disappointment was that the restaurant was closed. No sign, no information about opening times. Then somewhere on the Internet it said that it was open from 3:00. So we drove again at 3:00 - it was still closed. It's a shame if you put so much value on your guests. A note doesn't cost too much. But if I read the reviews here, I'm not angry that it was closed.

Unsatisfactory

We stayed there with friends. Although the rooms were supposedly renovated, we must have been unlucky and gotten one with a horrible bathroom. After complaining, we were offered two other rooms, but only with single beds. One of them was fine. So we can't really recommend room 30 and room 16. The staff were always very friendly and quick with the drinks and we ate this even though we were out. The rooms are still bright and if you wash in the next room, you almost fall out of bed.

But very old

The view of the valley is spectacular, so Arnsberg Castle was the target of today's hike. Corona protection measures in all honors, but I see the flatter and barbed wire used more correctly at the demos than at the restaurant. The barbed wire entrance is opened by the staff - kindness and service we could not detect during our entire stay.

Spectacular prospects - Extensive service

We visited Castle Arnsberg on our hike and entered the beer garden. After we had strengthened ourselves and asked if we could stay overnight, we wanted to see one or the room in advance. At this point we were very strongly advised by the elder of the two housewives that she had something else to do than show the rooms to the guests. (We were the only guests at that time!!!) Hmmmm, if the kind of hospitality is maintained in this property we can gladly do without it. After all, I regretted having bought something there at all. The view from up there is really not like that again!

Nice location with impossible guests.

We went on a hiking trip to Arnsberg Castle. In the yard there was a beautiful walnut tree. After a lot of walnuts lay on the floor, we picked up some of them. As we left the castle, an old lady ran after us and demanded her nuts back.

Excursion with an Evil Surprise

It's a very interesting driveway, but it's worth it for the great view alone. Food and drinks are fine, as well as prices. There are seats inside and outside, a wedding room and a great stables for weddings.

Great location.

I can honestly say nothing about the hotel, but only about the outdoor restaurant, which offers a unique and beautiful view of the old mill valley. The beer tastes all the better with such a view.

Beautiful View

I stayed at this hotel during a work transfer. The building is very characteristic, a Bavarian-style castle placed on top of a hill in an area surrounded by forests, which offers a very special atmosphere. The rooms are quite spacious, furnished entirely in wood and, as for those on the first floor and then in the basement, with wooden beams in view that make very heidi. The whole thing denotes a little lack of maintenance; the shower sprays in all directions, the door closes with fatigue and the whole structure looks very lively, although the cleaning is good.

Characteristic but improving

Friday night: Do you have a room left for a daddy with a 7-year-old? Of course, we are renovating and the restaurant has closed but there are enough restaurants in the area. It was great to arrive on a wonderful day and get a great room. My son's comment is also probably very telling: This is a great, huge room; and the bed first! It's the rest of the class when you sleep in the farmhouse and get woken up by the first reflective sun rays of the mountain peace.
