Worst experience ever. Did inform the hotel on my late arrival. When at the hotel: no room, no reception, no staff, no communication possible. Had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. The same for another guest also arriving from the airport. A disgrace for Munich

How can it be that for dinner dogs on the arm will be taken with for dinner and the same will be led along at the buffet this is a shame although the waiter saw it and I just addressed him only then what was done I was already in several Ahorn hotels but this is the worst of this whole hotel group here I'm also never going to go back to M. Wlassak from Wolfsburg

Evaluation of the Ahornhotel in Braunlage

ATTENTION! The hotel is booking money from the hotel account for the night, but it doesn't write a bill for it. Our staff stayed at the hotel in November 2020. Today is 30.06.2021. No bill. I call several times a day. I've been on the phone four times with a woman. One time she's just coming back from the hospital. Sometimes they say she writes the bill right away and sends by mail, then she says she sends by email. I don't know how many emails I've written to them. Nothing happens. Then I called an older man. He said he cares about it. It's just talking. Now they don't go on the phone anymore. What kind of a store is this?

This hotel is a must avoid place. It’s quite far from the train station, you need to pick a bus then walk a bit same thing on the way back. We had been calling since the previous day to be sure they had received and confirmed our booking even though we had a confirmation Because we were from quite far. We got to the hotel all the way from the airport about an hour and a half trip, to stand outside for a while because no one was answering.Then we made our way to the reception where no one was around for about 20min. Breakfast was served buffet style but no one was around, the phone rang severally. We went round the building (rather very small) but no answer; empty kitchen and stairway. So after all this while sitting down on our suitcases waiting. A lady showed up with very bad English saying she doesn’t work for the hotel and we have to write down our reservation details. She took those details after preparing us a receipt then disappeared behind a corridor. 15min later she showed up to tell us there are no rooms, our booking is canceled and she can’t help us. After struggling with her in German which was also not good to explain we had a confirmation. But she was nice enough to let the kids have some bread and provide us time to access the internet and get another hotel an hour away. All the hotels around were all fully booked.

Horrible Welcome

We arrived late at night in Nevada and found the room with the window open and the heater turned off, they had to spend a couple of hours until we could remove the shelter. The room did not match the photos that the hotel posted, we were three people and fortunately given a room of four because we had to change a mattress because you were drowning and almost touching the floor. Below the beds was a plastic bottle, handkerchiefs and accumulated dust, just clean what you see and not very well because the floor was full of stains. The bathroom is curtained so that the water reaches the door and the wall full of stains of mold through the wall. If you go with a dog, you make 10 euros for the final cleaning (you think that there was more to the room than a dead dog in the hotel, but you can't afford to pay for it).

Dirty, dirty, dirty!!!

We got a special call when we found the key, when we wanted to have breakfast. Not 40 minutes later, the hotel would cancel our room. But I think we missed nothing. It's probably happened many times. According to reviews. It's really fun to look for a place to stay at 8pm with a kid who's at a fair in Munich. And the hotel Ahorn promises to look for a replacement place and then never sign up and you don't drop off your number there either. But I think and saved a lot. It was really good afterwards.

He didn 't come to visit.

Do not let the pictures deceive you.  This place is terrible! We walked into a barren room with 2 kings and a queen sized bed. The bathroom is a small-closet size and the shower curtain was a nasty vinyl one. You get bare minimums for towels, soap, and a tiny packet of shampoo. We asked about a blow dryer and the desk stated they only had one and it was already checked out.  And last but not least, there was NO HEAT! The desk stated they had called the English owner in advance to let her know the heat needed to be serviced and turned on, but it had not been done. It was in the 30s that night!  It’s loud, tacky, and sparse...but clean if you’re really desperate.  Ive stayed in better military barracks. The only decent thing about this place was the young girl at the desk who could not apologize enough.

It's a very small hotel about 20 minutes by taxi from downtown... not very clean, dated structure, the only good thing is the price... recommended only to those who absolutely need to save... my room was unlocked so I woke up at dawn...

We we arrived it is still early so no check in allowed .we kept our luggage in rather messy dusty unorganized store room.and we went to Oktoberfeast. were given time to check in cannot be too late or early because it is his nap time he say 5 pm will be good we will disturbed his sleep if we return toi early :(
not good for room service either.they make up the room and just THRow the towel on the table without bother to change. our towel are all mixed up together .  They only supply one small bar of soap, one small sachet of body cream soap and shampoo You need to ask for change of towel and refill soap and shampoo otherwise nothing happen.
At night when we arrived reception already closed and have to enter from side door.

If you have backache is unlucky for you.the bed are too soft .
The only thing i like about this hotel is the breakfast is good.

Service Need to improved 

If you are looking for a cheap place to spend the night thats your place, besides that it is just humiliating.
Located near a gas station looking like a dump, far away from anything this city has to offer, you will also get poor rude service with no one to talk to after 6 pm, needless to talk about the rooms themselves.
Trying to scam people with their checking in and out times, I never write any reviews about places, neither for good nor bad, but this was just too much not to warn about.
Stay Away.
