I took the room for friends who came for two days. 
They were really excited about the place, aura and view. 
Very nice service. 
Easy with payments - even I had booked room via booking.com i payed for all (room and breakfast) by cash at the end. 

Room for the couple

Chose Zamek for convenient location for our three days of family visits, excellent pricing and the experience of staying in a castle. All of these worked out.

Room #2 ( we rejected #1 because it was too small) was spacious with a nice modern bathroom and a(noisy) view of the highway and woods beyond. NOTE: Double rooms with one bed MUCH smaller than twins. Recommend giving up intimacy for space in this case.

Positives: see paragraph 1. Buffet Breakfast is included. Good pricing, and la get family rooms (5-6 people) are available. Wifi decent, free, available throughout  the property.
Bathrooms modern and spacious.

Drawbacks: 
   1. Multinight guests must request room cleanup service. Not a normal procedure.
    2. No facility for ice in room or keeping beverages cold
      3. No elevator!!! Guests stay on top floors of castle which means a minimum  4 flights of stairs. With your suitcases. No assistance offered or available.
    4. Staff predominantly do not speak English or any language other than Polish.
    5. No air conditioning. It was warm and still in September....July/Aug would be intolerable.
     6. When bar/restaurant closes around 8, there is NOTHING to do here. 

Despite all of these, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Good value for the $$$$.


Cool experience to stay in a real castle; modern service concepts need to be added

Normal facilities, with a small and simple room but nothing more. The WIFI signal is good. Breakfast included but it was from 9am and we didn't take it because we wanted to leave early for Malbork. The reception...the lady of the evening didn't know anything about English but tried to explain herself, smiling. The lady of the next morning didn't know whether she wanted to smile or wanted to be nice. We didn't ask them to speak English, unless they were smiling. The castle, well a dull, but all in Polish, an uninterested interior, a dead village, etc. Come on, that's essential. If you don't know Polish you better not know to visit because the tour sounds Polish and the few explanations that are in Polish text are also in Polish form.  Parking, explaining a little thing, but to go to a hotel in front of the castle, we have to do a lot better to do.

Booked this place as a change from the normal business hotels. 

Really nice setting in a renovated castle on a hill overlooking the town.

Rooms are modern and clean, even if basic and small.  Large stone walls meant that the temperature was fine even in 35 degree heat with no airco. 

Catering is not great but the staff are friendly.

Warning: the castle is supposedly haunted!

A different experience

We were a family of six. We stayed for a night on the way to Germany. The hotel is located on the top floor of the old Castle of Orden. My children were delighted: they used to visit castles, but never stayed there. In the evening we even went with the children to look for ghosts, but so none were found. The castle is located on a high hill above the city. In good weather the hill opens with wonderful views. In the very castle besides the hotel there is a museum and a restaurant. There is a spacious parking lot, but visitors are allowed to park cars and near the gate.

A night in an old castle is unusual and interesting.

Very nice hotel on top two floors of the castle. Small, very clean room with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, great service. I would recomend this hotel to anyone that likes "off-the-beaten-path" locations and experiences.
