It's an incredibly beautiful hostel that you want to go back to over and over again. It's not the most convenient location, but you can get to any attraction in 10 minutes.

It's very beautiful!

We chose this hostel because of its location and unusual format. The place is really cool, the center is straight) The hostel itself is made and really unusual - because it was designed in the format of a mansion. The floors are high, yes, lepanine... But you can see that somewhere something is falling apart, somewhere something is a little unpainted - in general, the atmosphere is a little lost: the rooms are normal, the beds too.

That's a good choice!

Old iconic property, the moment you enter you will feel it. I stayed in a bunk bed in 6 bedded room, very spacious by hostel standards. Beautiful hall with even a Piano. Definitely worth it! Staff was mostly English speaking which was very helpful and they have city map and guide well. Cycles were for rent for 300 rubles for 6 hours. Excellent!

Brilliant location with spectacular view of Neva!

I've never stayed in a hostel before, this is my first experience. The apartment in the center, on the banks of the Neva, has a rich history and it was very interesting to stay there for a couple of nights. The building is in a bad condition and the hostel owners did not do a thorough renovation, but instead created a very nice interior and a pleasant atmosphere. Many beautiful old items of interior and furniture are successfully combined with a hand-mead whether guests or employees and complemented with a convenient and functional ike and all this electrics in huge rooms with high ceilings toilet, stainless brick vault and fireplace.

Hello Hostel on the English Channel

It's a great location with a beautiful view, a very friendly atmosphere, cozy rooms, the administrators are doing everything they can, the audience is decent, no noisy companies, so the hostel format doesn't scare us anymore!

Living in the center of Peter!!!

Excellent creative hostel in the heart of Peter.Sick location.Personnel very polite, friendly, cheerful.Rooms are cozy,coffee and tea with cookies are free.Friendship is unpredictable, with a feeling of page and modernity at the same time.

It's a great hostel.

It started all with a Russian and I don't bother attitude. The reception smelled like incense and you got the feeling they were covering up the smell of something else. When we asked about a supermarket the only thing one staff member could say was "fooood" so you can guess what that smell was. 
During the night I woke up to the buzz from mosquitos and in the morning I had over 20 bites!
We had paid for 2 nights but it was not an option to stay there another minute. 
The kitchen was a mess and you didn't want to touch the fridge or the microwave. Lots of stains on the sofa which was falling apart. The shower had mold on every wall and ceiling.  By Russian standard the house maybe okay but please take a look at my photos if you are not from Russia. The hostel is about 20 minutes walk from Nevsky Prospect but don't expect a quiet sleep. By the way it has a few residents so not everyone is a traveller.

A hostel for a younger demographic. The boys are not aware of their boundaries. Very cool vibe however slightly concerned with the safety of my belongings and the cleanliness of my sheets.

Also far from the center of St Petersburg. A difficult commute.

Not for the faint hearted

It is a hostel with a very particular character, an old mansion partially renovated to become a hostel, with a mid-underground look that should be conducive to parties. That said, the cleaning is terrible and much of the building still looks abandoned, having no use in the hostel. Some of the bathrooms are very tight and others built in very strange locations in the environment.

It needs more work.

It's basically a huge old buildings that's recently been renovated, with beautiful high ceilings and old style stairs etc. The two russian guys that run it speak perfect English and are hilarious and super helpful, as well as all their staff at reception. You can very cheaply rent bikes from them and they'll always help you with where you want to go and so on. The dorms are huge, plenty of space for everyone and there's a great atmosphere in the shared areas. Breakfast is free - milk with muesli/corn flakes as well as free tea and coffee. The area is also quite central and well connected by bus/subway. If you find space here definitely stop looking for another place to stay in St P!
