Lovely B&B with a fabulous host Frank. The location is good with just a short walk to Dam Square, Anne Frank’s house, Central Station, River Cruises and lots more. Lovely breakfast made by Frank and a very clean and comfortable room. I can recommend a stay here.

Great stay…..fabulous host

We stayed at the WestViolet Bed And Breakfast begin of August 2023 and we stayed there for the 3rd time. Frank is a wonderful host, very helpful and his  breakfast is delicious. The rooms are big, clean and very nice, with everything you need. His BB ist located at the Jordaan - right at the city center. Grachten, Museums, lovely Restaurants, Bakeries Central Station and Coffeeshops - they are all in walking distance. A charming area with nice people, we felt very safe there! We stayed at the spacious room on the ground floor with a lovely tiny garden and we will be back for sure! If you want to feel the typical dutch way of living, you should stay at the WestViolet!!! We had a great time - again!!! Thank you Frank! :)

The Place To Stay In Amsterdam!!!

Very good location, close to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, as well as attractions like Anne Frank House and the beautiful bridges, spacious room, comfortable bed, high-speed wifi, full breakfast, Frank is a wonderful host, always friendly and helpful. We love our stay, and we'll definitely be back at another opportunity!

Exceeding Expectations

Walking distance and easy to find from the central train station. We had an early flight, but were able to drop our bags and pick up the keys so we were able to get on with our day’s sightseeing. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We had the room on the second floor that had a cute little balcony. The stairs are steep, so if you have mobility issues, maybe ask for the ground floor room. We loved having the kitchen available to make our breakfasts, it was well stocked with hams, cheese, eggs, breads, cereals etc. Also lovely to come back in the evening and be able to make a cuppa. 
It’s located very close to Anne Frank’s house, which is a great landmark, with so much in walking distance. Would recommend and will stay here again when back in Amsterdam.

Great city break accommodation

We were in Amsterdam for three nights and WestViolet was the perfect place for us to stay. It was a fantastic location—felt central and easy to walk everywhere, but the street was still nice and quiet. Our lovely room was immaculately clean, the bed and linens were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was great. The owner, Frank, was very kind and friendly, the ideal host. And the option to have breakfast set us up nicely for our days of exploring—we were even converted to sprinkles on toast and bought some at Jumbo to take home! For other meals, we weren’t wanting for restaurant options in the neighbourhood either. It was a pleasure to stay here and would definitely stay again on future visits.

Gem in Jordaan

This place is a gem.  It's a 15 minute walk from the main station, and 5 minutes or so from Anne Frank's house.  Everything is in walking distance - bring comfortable shoes and watch out for bikes and trams! Frank is a lovely host, and very thoughtful.  I didn't like one of the milk drinks in the fridge, which I mentioned in passing, and Frank went out and bought another one especially for me.  The room was very comfortable (we were on the ground floor), with a small garden off of it.  It was nice and cool, with a newly modernised shower room and separate WC.  There is also a fridge in the room which is a nice touch.  The kitchen on the first floor is fully stocked for breakfast with everything you could possibly want, and fresh coffee every day.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.  Book it - you won't regret it!

Perfect place to stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Frank's B&B.  It was fantastic from the first communication.   Frank answered all our questions from across the pond and was very welcoming.  Once we arrived he was wonderful making sure we had what we needed, we knew where we were going and we were comfortable.  He was the perfect host.  Staying at Frank's exceeded our expectations.  The B&B is very clean and has everything you would need.  The terrace off our bedroom was beautiful.  The room was very quiet too.   Frank makes sure everything you would want is available for breakfast.  You make your own breakfast and you have a variety of foods to choose from.   The day we arrived he even went out of his way to buy gluten free bread for me.  You can walk every where from Frank's B&B.  There is also a laundromat one block away in case you are on a longer trip.     Also be sure to go to the Thai restaurant down the street - Frank will give you the name and you will thank him.  Delish!

Doesn't Get Any Better!!

Frank and Annie make our Amsterdam trip wonderful. They have nice places to share and are very careful with their guests.
The location is very central.
The room was very clean.

A wonderful trip in Amsterdam

We stayed here for two nights and it was the highlight of our trip. Frank is a wonderful host, so accommodating and helpful.
The fridge was well stocked, we ate so well for breakfasts and snacks.
We are already trying to plan our trip back. 

Great host, comfortable room, perfect position

We stayed here for 5 days in early October.  Frank was a great host and the location meant that we could walk to the best areas in Amsterdam in minutes.  A great find and highly recommended.  Our room had a little garden and was very warm. We had a fridge and Frank was happy for us to use the microwave for light meals.
