This is the second time we have visited this campsite and the welcome is always great.  The reception staff are efficient and friendly, as you would expect from the Dutch.  The campsite is clean and although we had no children with us, you can see it would be great fun and safe to bring your children here.  The main town of Venray is only a short bike ride away on safe cycle lane’s which are just amazingly safe.  The road cycle system is a credit to Holland.  All the facilities are super clean and efficient.  So, give it a go and whilst your there visit the commonwealth war graves.  Thank you Venray for looking after our fallen so well.  Respect.

Great Dutch welcome

We were at the Parc de Witte Vennen for the third time and it was very nice again. The bungalow we rented was spacious, clean and very well furnished. The whole Parc is very well maintained and not completely overcrowded. The children had a lot of fun and were enthusiastic about the play opportunities offered. We are back!

Another great vacation.

we had a very peaceful stay.  The staff were very helpful and even helped my son find his soccer ball.  It has a beautiful setting and we will be back.  We spent i week here and lived in one of the bungalows that was facing the lake.

good fun

We had a week at the park in one of the chalets.  We were there out of peak season at the end of August and it was very quiet.  It was still enjoyable, nice and peaceful and great value for money.  The staff were very friendly, the chalet was lovely and with the exception of an oven, had everything that we needed.

Because it was so quiet, we didn't see any evidence of any of the activities that were on offer during peak times, but that wasn't a problem.  The kids could use the play park whenever they wanted and the pedalos were available free of charge whenever you wanted to use them.  We used the Parc as a base to have days out in the area and it was great for that purpose.

I would visit again, but would probably go back during peak time in order to experience all that the Parc has to offer.

A lovely, peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings.

Lovely Holiday Park / Campsite

We've just returned from 2 weeks in Holland on our first family camping holiday (son aged 2 and a half).  We booked Parc de Witte Vennen for 3 nights before we went, because it was near the Floriade, but stayed for 7 because we loved it.  It was peaceful, even at the end of peak season, incredibly spacious, with lots of car-free camping areas.  

Each large camping field also had its own wee playpark, in addition to the large playpark beside the (lovely) swimming lake.  There are also pedalos which are free for visitors to use.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, toilet block was clean and airy, with a great kids' bathroom, too.

It's also a great base from which to explore the west/centre of Holland (we even did National Park De Hoge Weluve on a day trip from here).

Hoping to return there next year, we had such a good time.

fantastic campsite for a family holiday

The park is quiet, nice and affordable! The bungalows (directly by the water) are super equipped with what you need. In addition to the TV bathtub, shower, there is even an underfloor heater. The cheaper bungalows I haven't tested yet (challets). The receptionist speaks English, German and Dutch. Everyone is very friendly and has had a good experience. Even a few German TV channels (for sports shows and so on).

Go for the third time soon. Just relax.

My partner and I stayed at Witte Vennen for a mid week break in off season. We had one of the lake facing bungalows - it had everything we needed and having breakfast every morning looking out onto the water was just so relaxing. The bungalow was in very good condition, very spacious and bright. The staff were ever so helpful - we've been to Centre Parcs in the past where I always feel things are a little impersonal - at Witte Vennen you were always greeted with a big smile and made to feel very welcome. The park itself has a good size and lots of space for kids to play. It has a "strandbad" which I assume opens in the summer months, tennis courts and other bits and bobs. You can alos fish in the lake (we didn't catch anything unfortunately). If you are after the 24/7 style entertainment offered in Center Parcs - this one won't be for you. If you're after a friendly place to have a relaxing holiday, I'd go with Witte Vennen. One thing to point out, there wasn't a supermarket or shop within the grounds (however that might change) but around 5 minutes by car you can find two big supermarkets. Also make sure to hire some bikes - getting around by bike is so easy! Restaurants, high-street shopping, post office etc can all be found in Venray - 5 minutes by car.
