Out of 2 couples placing the order at the same time, one got their meal after half an hour and the food was fine. The other couple was not so lucky. After one hour when half of the group started digesting their food with the next round of beers, the other hungry half asked the waitress what about the duck and dumplings and heard that they are still not ready and the kitchen needs more time. We have not been informed that we would need to wait 90 minutes for the food. The waitress said sorry when we were cancelling the order but had no compensation offer for her mistake. The restaurant was not crowded at the time of our arrival but then a 12 people group came and our guess is that the kitchen focused on their table forgetting the others. So if you don’t want to leave hungry and dissapointed, better make sure how long you will have to wait for your food. Also if you are allergic to wasps, avoid this place, they will accompany you at the table in large numbers.

Terrible restaurant - a meal that may never arrive…

We wanted to order drinks, waitress was very rude. We told her that we would want drinks made by her not the bootled one, she started to rolling her eyes told us that we would need to wait an hour. After we told her that we have time, she gave us an impression that she doesn't want to prepare those drinks.... finally we decided to go out. I do not recommend visit in hotel's restaurant

Dramatic restaurant

Hotel nad Wigrami is a three star Hotel front-lake in Suwalki. We stayed 2 nights in this Hotel. 

It's just outside of Suwalki and you have a beautiful room view of lake Wigry. 

You can go for a walk in the forest, lake, swim in the lake, rent a kayak or a paddle boat all free of charge, play tennis, basketball, bowling or billar, and have a breakfast outdoors in the big veranda. 

It's perfectly located between Suwalki and Augustòw so you can easily visit all the 40+ lakes within the area. 

The room looks pretty standard and a bit outdated to me but it is spacious, has a good shower but the beds are separate and not very comfy. Also there is no fridge, no aircon, no kettle in the room but it was very clean. There is a balcony with a great view to the lake but there are no seats or table outside. 

There is a green area around the Hotel with few games for kids, and an outdoor gym. People at the reception speak English and they are helpful.

Breakfast is from 7.30 to 10.30 but we did not enjoy it. The buffet breakfast should be improved. The buffet coffee was not good but you can order cappuccino and pay a little extra. 

The dinner surprised me. The waiter was very professional, and despite he spoke a bit of English I appreciate that he made the effort. Well done!

We took one cold beetroot soup, a mushroom soup and they were delicious. 

All in all it was a good stay. 

Good Vacay in Podlaskie Region

Clean, new, good location, nice lake, breakfast very good on Lithuanian taste. Food in the restaurant excellent especially Dorada. Can be rented boat or kayak. Close to the hotel, you can buy smoked fish. All is OK!

Very nice hotel!

the location was really great, just few meters from the lake with own pier giving chance to swim and use kayak. There were plenty of the birds in the forest waking me up every morning in good mood. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and quite spacious. The staff was friendly and very helpful. 
The bed lamps were not enough bright to read a book in the bed. A chair on the balcony would be a nice option.

good place for nature lovers

Fantastic location - lake, forest , peace - are the only attributes. The facility is absolutely neglected, reminds me of early 70/80 of XX century , small uncomfortable rooms, bathrooms that definitely require attention, uncomfortable, small beds / mattresses, worn out towels - all of it for pricing comparable with 5* facilities in Warsaw - never again there , but definitely will be back in the area . One more - awful breakfast, extra pays required for instance for a latte 

Wasted potential, severely overpriced for the offer

We spent there 2 nights with a family (2+2) and have very mixed feelings after this experience. We received large family room but with a very tiny tv set. The hotel makes nice 1st impression, but... We wanted to rent bikes: bikes are there (extra fee) but no equipment to adjust the seat size, and no bikes suitable for younger kids, so our youngest daughter had to stay in the room. The restaurant was very average. But most of all: there is a "relaxation" room in the hotel - with a bar, bowling, billard etc - but closed all the time! When we asked in the reception to play bowling, they said "there are only 2 waiters and they are too busy to go there". That's totally unacceptable! The bowling was one of the main listed attractions of this hotel. In addition, at the end the receptionist who calculated the final payment forgot to substract the downpayment. And the bill itself wasn't low. To sum up: the hotel is well equipped and in the very nice location. But the service is one of the worst I've experienced: not enough people, poorly trained, not motivated, and even not nice to the guests. My forecast: without significant improvement in the management the place will deteriorate quickly.

Place with great potential - which is being wasted

Went to a fantastic 2 day wedding here 
Lovely food great location ..the lake is stunning and there are nice walks and canoes and pedalos to use a good exercise area outside and kids playground 
The food is very tasty reasonably priced and large portions the service was great and friendly 
The staff are wonderful if you engage with them
Wirginia in reception was very kind and helpful as was the lady who explained how we should get to the church in the village 
The rooms were OK and for the price it was an excellent choice 
Thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and venue 

Great location good value

Awesome location. Really nice owners...we arrived at 10:30 pm and they not only waited for us to arrive but they also cooked us a really good polish diner. The lodge is new and tidy. Really quite as it is in the countryside,with a little beach and some boats along the river.

Great value!

I have a very good memory of this hotel: a spacious and comfortable room, exceptional location in a preserved environment on the shores of a beautiful small lake. Possibility of multiple activities: bicycle, canoe, bowling... Breakfast is abundant and on-site catering is very good bill. The staff is very helpful, even if sometimes a little extra smile would have been a good aloe! This may be due to the fact that the guests seemed to me to be mainly Polish or Russian and the staff may not be very accustomed to speaking English... but frankly, it is a detail! This is the dream place for lovers of nature and tranquility.
