Fun Sleep

I realized after booking that it is not a typical hostel but a converted flat. I then had very modest expectations but it turned out to be really good. The staff/owners were really professional, it is decorated nicely and has plenty of communal areas relative to the number of guests. The bathrooms are real ones (i.e. not cubicles) with very nice showers. The street is central and felt safe (although a little dark). The Wi-Fi was good. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the breakfast was pretty nice. They cleaned very thoroughly I would stay again.
 
My dorm didn't have a window. Another dorm had one of the three bathrooms that were for everyone's use, so I wouldn't have wanted to be in there. I could only check in many hours after my night bus arrived, so I had to kill time elsewhere. You cannot sit up in the lower bunks. It's not marked on the street so pay attention to the instructions. Although it was a much better experience than I'd expected, 'Fun Sleep' seems an odd choice of name for somewhere like this.

Unexpectedly nice

When you arrive at the portal, you will find that there is nothing wrong with you.Socio,cutre,destarlado,viejo y esto x muy amable q seas no se puede permitir.los baños y asco,cadena ruta, puerta no cierra,pelos,roido y pésimo.los enchufes y pulsadores se los come la mierda y te dejas los dedos pegados.No usamos el espíritu porque da asco.Te ofre desayuno q no usas y cocina tampoco xq solo de pensar si te quitas la hambre, y no vas a hacer ruido. fin lo bueno es la ubicación.necesitate urgency reforma, limpieza y etc. No one would ever return to the same location.No one would recommend q photos.

From the worst to the worst..

I was very happy with my recent stay at Fun Sleep. The staff were amazing! They were all very friendly and knowledge and made me feel very comfortable and at home. The hostel and bathrooms were kept very clean which I appreciated and the rooms were nice-they had lockers and the 4 bed room I was in had drawers for guests to use. Breakfast was free which was nice. The hostel is also in an EXCELLENT location, close to all the main attractions but on a quiet street. I felt very safe at Fun Sleep. The only downside was I thought it was a little loud at night sometimes from conversation and music in the kitchen area outside my room but it was not too bothersome and I highly recommend Fun Sleep!

Excellent stay

The best thing about the hostel is the location (full center, next to the sun).I went with six friends and they put us in a room without windows (we were dying of heat) and to access the bathroom we had to enter the next room, harassing the people who slept in it.

No ventilation, good location.

The location of the place, the price of the accommodation, as well as the attention received by the staff are the most remarkable.On the other hand, as it is a somewhat old hostel, the doors do not close well and/or make noise.

 Central and economic

Awesome location. The owner lady is amazing and so precious. She is so friendly. My single room was very spacious and amazing. 

It could get a bit hot in the room but they had a fan in there. So it was good

Pretty awesome.

The fun sleep hostel in Madrid is a very welcoming and homely place. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean and well equipped. A standard breakfast is included and there's a very well equipped kitchen the guests can use. The athmosphere is very friendly and cosy- it feels a bit like staying in a shared apartment. Unfortunately it was a bit noisiy at night. 
However I can definitely recommend the place and would stay there again!!!

Very nice hostel

We stayed three nights with a friend of mine, we were very well. Even though Alex was sleeping when we arrived and we were welcomed by other guests of the hostel, the living room was more than pleasant. The staff is always available and friendly, the central location and possibly very close to the subway, the rooms are clean and tidy, large enough to be able to move around comfortably - something that doesn't always happen in the rooms.

Really great, for all travelers!

I stayed at this hostel for three nights, and the three nights it was supposed to be over 28 degrees in the room. No windows was unbearable... despite the four fan fans in the room. Also, one of the volunteers working for the hostel for free in exchange for a place or stay, works at night too. He leaves late in the evening and comes back early in the morning, so I woke up twice a night because my sleep in an unfamiliar place is light. There are also keys missing to open the door. There are not enough for everyone in the room so I had to knock on the door the first day for someone to open me, until they found me a little time.

Fun sleep not that fun

Since it is not the first hostel I visit, I can say that the living room was one of the best I have ever had. It was clean and cozy, staffed and really available, always ready to give everything to the customers. Even though I was in the center of Madrid, I was amazed by the silence and the quiet, especially in the evening.
