The reception is friendly. The rooms are a little old but still neat. The bedding is of good quality. The evening meal is simple but much too cozy, half in the plates would be enough. The breakfast is well packed with sugar, salt, ham cheese and fruit for 8€.

The kindness and kindness of the staff are the strengths of this establishment. The hotel is clean, but you have to be honest, this hotel deserves a great renovation. The tapestry of the 80s adorn the rooms, the grinders guarantee discretion, the grooms on the doors make them knock...

Very, very small room. Lots of odd stairs between the proper staircase and the room.
Minuscule bathroom. Tatty. On a main road. Nothing going on in Bannes at all, not even a bakery! Breakfast only just ok. A great disappointment. Even Françoise has disappeared and sold on.

A great downer

After two visits between friends and family, an excellent establishment that can be classified as a gourmet restaurant, with a very good price ratio, delicious cuisine and a neat presentation, and for €25.50 you can even have cheese AND dessert.

What a great discovery.

When we arrived on Saturday afternoon, we ate on the terrace, nice quiet terrace. My wife and I ate meat there that was good with real fresh vegetables and good fries. The room was bright and nice. The insulation is not terrible but it's worth the 65€. The breakfast at 8€ with fruit juice, wines, bread, fruit, coffee, tea, Yaourt, cereals, ham, etc., is fine. I put it because afterwards it was very good in choice but it's a good establishment.

Returning on holiday

Warm welcome from the receptionist, who had only just arrived for work and hadn’t opened the hotel yet for the evening. Despite this, she welcomed us and allowed us to check-in before 4:30pm.

Rooms were a bit basic and tired and the noise from lorries passing a few metres from the window was noisy. With no air con, the windows would have to be left open in the summer. Fortunately, the traffic began to quieten down after 10pm. If o stay here again I will be sure to ask for a room at the rear.

The real jewel in the crown was dinner in the restaurant. Absolutely brilliant! We order the set menu which includes 4 courses for €25. Foie Gras, Lamb Skewers, Cheese, then your pick of Desert from the menu. Quite honestly worth double that price and the service was both friendly and attentive to boot. 

A great place to eat

After reading many other reviews, I had the impression that I had not stayed in the same establishment. What a cozy room (the 4th) decorated like an ocean with total comfort and impeccable cleanliness! Certainly a bit demanding but largely sufficient. Breakfast was right and packed. I didn't have dinner there. Finally, I found the hotel I needed when I moved around the Chaumont area.

Very satisfied

To get to our room, we first had to climb a steep, narrow staircase, when we opened the door we first saw the toilet, surrounded by carpet floors (!), - I don't want to think about it any further - around the corner then a mini-room, which also had a bathroom (2 x 0.8 m) built in. There was a mini-room, which was half a tablet of hot water sugar with 2 cups of coffee powder and tea bags. The bed was barely 1.60 wide and was under a lot of roofing. It was all set up but it was too small. In the bathroom, this didn't work over the mirror. The bed was so small that 2 people in the back room thought it was better to eat fries, even if one of them had fries, but in France, yes, everything was possible, even in the middle of the night.

We stayed there one night on our way back from our vacation in Spain. We arrived there at 4.15 pm after a 9 hour drive ,the door was locked, there was a notice in French on the door probably saying the check in is after 4.30 pm. We rang the bell, the owner answered and he said the check in was after 4.30 and that was it he did not let us in. After mediocre rating at the booking.com about the reception , we finally were allowed to check in the owner came down and started shouting very angrily.He said he would call booking.com and he did that apparently because 10 min. later we got a call from booking.com. We were requested not to write a full review of the hotel after our departure and that call took half an hour because the person was so persistent on the issue. The room was clean , it had the things necessary , it is not a bad place but the owner needs to control his anger.I mean it was scary for me.
