Unfortunately we were hit by the covid 4 days before the stay. no mercy from the owner I asked for a postponement and it's impossible I have to pay and even pay for breakfast. the owner didn't even try to rental the rooms. it's much easier to cash out than to be a little emphatic. it's not a dishonest trader and not even stealing for breakfast please read the terms... because it's impossible to cancel 3 months before Horrible!

It's such a shame.

The great ambience, the splendid garden landscape including squirrels, the clean rooms and the silence at night are SUPER!!! The excellent cuisine for Manuel's breakfast has also delighted us very much. Also the large and fine wine selection that Jürg served us was excellent. We felt in paradise. Hopefully your Le Venay will last a long time.

In all parts SUPER!!!

We had chosen this establishment because of its proximity to the Circuit de la Bresse where we were doing a two-day motorcycle internship. We were a little surprised by the accent of our host on the phone when we warned of a late arrival. We later learned that the couple had left their native Switzerland to settle in the area 6 years earlier. Once the surprise passed we enjoyed a top tip reception in a very comfortable house. The pool was welcome in the evening after a day spent on motorcycles. The evening meal was plentiful and of very good price. Not to be missed if you have to spend a night in the area.

A little piece of Switzerland in the middle of Bresse

The idyllic, quietly situated Chambres d'Hôtes et Tables d'Hôtes Le Venay is as described in the prospectus: relaxation with pleasure, absolutely true. The large property with the clean rooms, the magnificent park with swimming pool, table tennis and Petanque railway, as well as all kinds of places to stay is very pleasant. The hosts Manuela and Jürg make every effort to serve the guests friendly and professionally.

Wonderful type of secret

In the midst of the Burgundy landscape idyll, the tastefully renovated, cleaned and well-kept estate of Le Venay, the generous surroundings of lawns, flower beds, seats and even a swimming pool invite us to stroll, stay, dream and relax. Manuela and Jürg's warm, attentive yet indomitable nature made us creatively home from the beginning. Thanks to their uncomplicated generosity, we were able to enjoy the stay of Manuela's band together. They are just hosts of a first taste. The special section of the culinary scene is: Since we come around, we eat purebreds. Often, this brings us to the palace of the Portuguese family, and sometimes it brings us to a moment in time, and then it brings us back to a moment in time.

If you enjoy rural France (Burgundy area) without travelling too far from Switzerland, Le Venay is your choice!
This gem is managed by the owners who really bend backwards to make their guests feel comfortable.
The hosts offer an honesty bar, excellent dinners in the lush gardens and wonderful breakfasts.
Be your interest in wine, hiking, museums or just exploring the countryside, the hosts are always happy to help with useful advice.

Perfect hospitality in a perfect location

Once again, we spent a few days in this oasis of calm and relaxation. How easy it is to simply live into the day, to spontaneously decide what I'm looking forward to right now: spending time at the pool, a round of petanque, or even reading in the couch? All knowing that the loving hosts will pamper us again with a magical menu in the evening. Again and again, we love to enjoy those days with Manuela and Jürg.

Le Venay is a lovingly decorated country house, with a very well-kept atmosphere and friendly and very attentive hosts. The rooms are simple, clean, functional and contain everything necessary. Various small furnishings show the love of detail and give the impression of being at home.

Nice accommodation with very attentive hosts

The Le Venay is a very small and cozy hotel, and the kitchen is a delight to enjoy from a culinary point of view. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Frontenaud. It has a beautiful park with a garden porch in front of the house, as well as a swimming pool. The hotel is in a quiet location without street noise, etc.

Small but fine

If you are French (or French speaking) then avoid this establishment. The news is in German. We are invisible hostess. We are not guests but hotel guests. Very high bill for the services offered. Nothing to do on site... ah if the pool is good... A hotel at this price is 100 times better and with a heated pool too. Infamous coffee, unpalatable. There is no TV in the rooms and the TV in the common room doesn't work. We didn't have the right to eat. And yes there are no customers so I don't eat. And then we were wondering?? The railway line and all its trains pass less than 150m from the property.
