Took a detour off the A4 motorway to try and stay overnight but the hotel was closed and up for sale. Very quiet area, no alternative accommodation. Drove on and stayed in Verdun at the charming Cloche D’Or hotel. Verdun, La Meuse river very interesting town to visit.

NOTE: Very friendly personal reception. I had a very nice room with a nice bathroom. In 45 minutes you are in Metz, which is definitely worth a visit. Service: friendly and personal reception. Location & surroundings: The place Pareid with less than 100 inhabitants is quietly located on a side street and is perfectly suited for an intermediate stop or ideal place to visit Verdun (World War I Museum) and explore the surroundings, as it is within 30 minutes' drive time. In 45 minutes you are in Metz, which is definitely worth a visit. Service: friendly and personal reception.

I am satisfied and highly recommend

We're very quickly comfortable, like at home. The reception is very friendly and warm and the rooms are very isolated from each other. An excellent quality/price ratio. Of course it's isolated for peace.

A very charming and well-equipped house, a very warm welcome from the friendly owners, with whom it was possible to get acquainted during lunch (local products).

Very welcome in a very nice house

The B&B was immaculate, with a very beautiful bedroom and bathroom.  The food was great and very reasonably priced.  The hostess and host were very friendly and helpful.  We almost left with one of our bags, but Delphine  noticed it and caught us at the last minute.  Thank you!

A Chambre d'Hote in Lorraine

Hotes very nice, still full of stories, garden fun with a donkey but the wake by the rooster in the morning was not very appreciated as was the dishwashing noise for the breakfast installation.

Nice place but far away

It was one of the first guest house trials and cool. We even had lunch in the garden. Very clean room and room to store his things. Fortunately, the GPS knew the way.

The rooms are impeccable, there is a way to find tourist information very simply.

The stay was impeccable

This B&B is located in the vicinity of the First World War’s major sites where the infamous Battle of Verdun was fought. Despite this turbulent history, it is a very quiet area; countryside as countryside used to be.

The room that I had was comfortable, clean and with free Wi-Fi, although the signal was too weak and could only be used in the ‘lounge’ downstairs. I also took the dinner with some of the Lorraine’s specialities such as quiche with rabbit and chicken in wine sauce. Though simple, the dishes were all good.

The service was friendly and personal in a pleasant way. The price was, including dinner and breakfast, just above 75 Euro which I regard as a fair deal. Definitely a place to stay when you’re in this corner of l’hexagon.

I cannot speak too highly of this excellent b.&.b.  We have been spending 
family holidays in France now for more than 30 years but this the first time my wife and I have ever used a Chambre d'Hôte as a base (instead of hotels).  The result is that we wish that we had done so a long time ago. M. & Mme. Sorain offer wonderful value for money, a warm and friendly welcome, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated accommodation, first class breakfasts and a surprising and high-quality range of tourist advice (personal and printed).  You would be very fortunate to find a better place to stay.
