Charming and very pleasant welcome in this authentic English (or rather Irish) Bed and Breakfast in the cottage. Nice place, well renovated. Good breakfast. Simple but very clean room.

We loved our stay in this quintessential French Bed & Breakfast nestled in the rolling farmland of Normandy. We had a beautiful room exceptionally comfortable bed, with large private bathroom, & fabulous huge bath which I enjoyed. The moonlight &  early morning views from our room window, was a special for me. Living in the city it was the perfect place to stay. Shaun & Jane are welcoming hosts, a the local restaurant recommendation, full of locals not Tourist was a fabulous experience. The bowl of creamy garlicky frogs legs a culinary highlight.  Highly recommended stay, great value and we will be returning. 

Stunning views of French countryside 

Beautiful place very charming and spacious with a historical feel to it. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying summer wine in the evening.

Ideal for walks in the country and cycling too, very nice views all around.

Lovely getaway in rural Normandy

Very peaceful! Great location & hosts. Shaun & Jane provided a wonderful breakfast each morning and had considerable knowledge of the area . Hope to be back again some day! Shaun really knows the military history of the area and got along wonderfully with my friend's husband who is also into military war gaming.

We spent the bank holiday at La Thiaumerie and had the most wonderful time. The hosts, Jane and Shaun, were so friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as could be. Breakfast was fantastic and they recommended some fabulous restaurants nearby for us.  

From relaxing by the log fire, taking scenic walks around the beautiful Normandy countryside, and Horse-riding through nearby country trails there is something to do for everyone. Jane and Shaun even went out of their way to drop us off in the historic town of Bayeux for dinner and also to pick us up, purely to ensure we had a nice time. 

The stay was absolutely fantastic. We will most definitely be back to visit in the future! Sublime! 10/10!

The most wonderful stay! 10/10!!!!

Having never used a Chambre d’hote before I was delighted to find this fantastically situated, friendly, family run, retreat in the gorgeous Norman countryside.

Classic, clean and simply furnished rooms look out on the rolling hills, and pretty villages in an idyllic location. 

Mr McLaughlin, make a most convivial host, with his knowledge, and passion for the area to the forefront and backed up with great ‘people skills’, all leading to a felling of a relaxed but cared for stay.

Within easy driving distance of all the famous Normandy beeches, and historic Bayeux, the place makes a perfect bass for exportations of the whole Norman region and western France in general. 

Will return.

Friendly retreat in beautiful Normandy 

We were greeted warmly by the English hosts. The spacious room had a separate bathroom and went upstairs by stairs, which has two more beds. Unfortunately, the rooms were not heated and we had to spend the night at 15 degrees Celsius (in my measurement). Also in the breakfast room it was so cold in the morning. Besides, there was no hair dryer, so we did not have to wash our hair in these room meters. The breakfast was good and had it been heated, I would have given 4 points.

Unfortunately overrated

An absolutely charming English hotel, a perfect room with a good quality bed, total silence, a prominent location in the valley, a small royal breakfast served at noon... (we had gone to bed very late).

Silence, comfort and super breakfast

We went to the B&B for the second time for a week, but this time with family. It was wonderful and a beautiful vacation. A vacation that left no wishes open. You can't wish for a better host. I can only warmly recommend Sally and Michael.

We came as strangers and went as friends

Immersed in the tranquillity of the French countryside, it offers an atmosphere of tranquility and peace that is greatly appreciated during a vacation characterized by long and numerous journeys.
