I have stayed at Le Chalet de La Forêt many times over the years and have never been disappointed - indeed I have recommended it to many friends who have been equally pleased.

At the end of a long journey it is a pleasure to reach the hotel within a just a few minutes of leaving the A20 or A71 autoroutes, and especially to be so warmly welcomed and served by the Patron and staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the parking is secure and spacious. The restaurant offers a wide ranging menu and reflects the local cuisine, while the  breakfast is ample and well presented.

Pleasant, Welcoming and Convenient, easy to find location

What a find! Just off the road south from Orleans making it an excellent overnight stop , We arrived hot and sticky after a long drive and were delighted with our little chalet in the grounds. It was cool and basically, but adequately equipped. A quick dip in the hotel pool and then an apero outside the chalet before supper. Very friendly staff and a good evening meal. We shall return.

Welcome overnight stop

A fantastic stop over enroute to Spain.  We had an outside cabin which was fantastic as we had a dog.

The dinner was outstanding and brilliant value and breakfast was a well stocked European affair.

We shall return on the way home.

We didn't book, but we were very well received (moving stage, we absolutely needed a secure parking lot) despite our look not really bad that day. Tired, I can't find the key, but I was able to quickly get a duplicate with the smile... So the welcome here is not a vain word! The room: spacious, big bed, SDB with 4 towels for two. Clean and quiet. Only the restaurant was closed, so we had to have dinner in town. We'll try it out next time!

Quiet, spacious cottage and secure parking

Comfortable cottage, large bed with very good mattresses. Very clean, quiet and air conditioning, a small green space with terrace. Parking near the cottages and safe. A good step to see more in summer with the pool.

Stopped here en route to the south. You nearly miss the drive / turning so approach slowly! 

Lovely chalet in the grounds, ideal for dog owners and lady on reception very pleasant as we checked in. Secure car park and free wifi too. 

Service at dinner was slow and although there were three staff (later four) a lot of customers sat waiting for ages - for everything. One man waited 20 minutes for a bottle of Perrier after ordering and began laughing how ridiculous it was. 

As we were never asked if we wanted any more drinks, or coffee, we left for the room in the end. 

We took a travel kettle which was very useful for a coffee on the little bistro set outside the chalet as the sun went down. (No coffee making facilities in the chalet)

Would stay again for sure, as the chalet was great, clean and very quiet. just a shame dinner service let them down a bit. 
Breakfast was a continental buffet. Same lady presiding as over dinner - pleasant but did nothing to add to the experience apart from watching people coming in and asking for their room number from Behind her “desk” on the far side of the room.

Good overnight stop - go for a chalet

The hotel was also very good, we recommend this establishment which has allowed us to go through a pleasant stage. I have nothing more to add and this requirement of 200 characters is stupid.

We had no intention of stopping overnight in Vierzon due to an indifferent experience at a different hotel, but here we were, hot and tired, early evening, so we avoided the previous hotel and came upon Le Chalet de la Foret. It was a strange welcome, but someone did reluctantly decide to get out of a chair to show us a room in a chalet in the  garden. By the time we got back to reception, that room had been sold to someone else. So we took the last remaining room on the first floor of the main building. Spacious and airy, cooled and with a comfortable bed and a new modern shower room, it was also quiet in spite of overlooking the tree-covered restaurant terrace. Only one complaint - to leave open a window and heavy curtains to the cool night air meant enduring constantly flashing traffic lights. 
I have special dietary needs, and usually a good restaurant will provide someone knowledgeable who can suggest minor modifications to their menu to accommodate. Sadly, the waitress at Le Chalet wasn't interested, and suggested melon and ham followed by chicken salad. I found it odd to be served two identical copious plates of salad, one with sliced melon and ham, and the other with a pile of sliced, dry chicken breast in place of the melon. My husband's meal was delicious, he told me: potato and goat's cheese salad (which I could have eaten, but it wasn't suggested), followed by a very appetising longe de porc smothered in a beautiful creamy sauce.

A curate's egg

A team that does everything possible to satisfy us. Very nice and restful. Very safe parking. Very good breakfast, excellent evening meal (sublime calf head) warm welcome by brave people who really deserve to be made alive. The Clim was welcome, big screen TV on the wall, very free chest. Dogs accepted everywhere with respectful masters of others. One can always find small bemools like the curtain of impractical because it causes overflows, a soft plastic barricade in the style of fine accordion or rolling would be wiser.
