Potentially great place but unfortunately tired and not very well looked after.
We have stayed in September 2023 for 10 days in this Gite. The place attracted us due to its location to
discover this versatile area, its covered, heated pool and the possibility to charge our car. Not to mention
the wifi, which should nowadays be a matter of course nor the comfort of a relaxation mattress as
mentioned in several comments. Well, where should we start?
Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t just holiday, so when you have to work and the internet connection cuts
off at various times of the day is this not helpful. The mattress in our appartement was certainly NOT
new and comfortable as in the other Gites apparently. A real shame when you stay longer than the
average stay. Thankfully there was a sofa bed, so we could separate…Also that was from a limited
comfort.
The 3 possible charging points for electric cars are a disappointment, only one works. The lady who
works here told us, that if you switch all three on, the fuse trips. Consequently, there is a problem, when
the occupancy is high and several vehicles like to use this “new normal” amenity.
The pool and shower area is very dirty and has hardly be cleaned in all of the 10 days, I have never seen a
toilet without paper, (a dirty nappy was still in the bin during the full duration of our stay). The
advertised 29.5°C is doubtable. A certain leftover from COVID times is the schedule introduced to assure
a 30 Min. Exclusivity use of the Pool which works relatively well despite some Belgium’s not respecting
the house rules.
The different seating areas are sweet but why are the cushions so dirty? Therefore less inviting.
The surrounding garden and terrace area tired and not well looked after. Which gives you an impression
of “after a long season the owners/ staff are as tired as the flower pots”. Completely dried up and not
been watered for the entire duration of our stay. Why keeping them visible for guests who pay to stay
there?
Let’s not get too upset about all the negatives, the area is beautiful and in 10 days by far, you can’t visit
everything. Would we come back here? Well very doubtful.

Needs to back to basics!

The spaces are flowery with flavor and fresh with vintage touches in the exterior decoration the staff is at your least care the frills are really really very well, the decor has the reception c is a rather magical space and masterfully orchestrated by the boss thank you for this magical moment

Magic place

We spent a weekend with friends in the attic area. This place is a little peaceful haven. There are several corners to relax. The reception by the owner David is perfect, he is attentive and listening to his customers. The greenery is present throughout the attic area and the pool is just sublime to relax after a day of walking... I would definitely recommend the attic area between friends, family or lovers.

It's a beautiful place to discover.

The Grenier area is charming and authentic, and I would recommend it 2000% for the location itself (its garden and beautiful swimming pool), for the comfort of the recently renovated cottage, with special attention to the decor, for the generous breakfast (winehouses, yoghurt, fruit, compote, cheeses...), and finally for the quality of hospitality, kindness and availability of our host and all staff.

A haven of peace in Britain

David, the host is very attentive to his guests, ahead of their needs! The hostels are tastefully decorated, and the green spaces are neat and welcoming. The heated swimming pool offers a relaxing bracket in this place dedicated to happiness...

A real paradise on earth...

We loved everything, especially the outdoors. There were lots of places to read, talk, play and even swim. It was a green oasis a few minutes from the coast.

Everything is planned so that you have a very good time Kindness, comfort, quality services (lunch, pool, sauna) and of course an excellent and very professional welcome

Guest rooms to recommend

Don't look, there's no defect in David's house. The setting is gorgeous, this historic guest house is set in a beautiful setting. The room we occupied was very neat and we didn't lack anything: tea, coffee, cupboard, TV, large bathroom and a very nice electric bed. A gorgeous private swimming pool that we enjoyed very much. The rich breakfast was served with fresh, local produce in the very pleasant living room. But most of all, David's kindness, advice and attention were the cherry on the cake. After 10 nights in the attic, we were very sad to leave. Thank you to David and his team.

This is a really great stay.

An absolutely perfect stay, from A to Z: a green and authentic setting, a refined and comfortable home with all the necessary amenities, a cozy terrace, a beautiful garden with chickens eating our food waste, a top pool and even a sauna! To complement it all, a friendly reception, the opportunity to borrow games... and then of course a great place to go on a trip to a beautiful area. We already want to come back!

It was a perfect stay.

We had rented four guides for a week in May. The setting and the place are very nice. But the owner is very stressed and very nervous. The slightest deviation from his rules, he becomes quite unpleasant. We have had to go through his inappropriate interventions several times. It's a shame, especially since at the end of the stay, he himself admitted that the stay was quite well spent.
