A good welcome from a person who speaks perfectly French. Large room but bathroom rikiki, especially shower. Classic and aging decoration but good bed. Perfect for sleeping and going back after good days of visiting. We would have our breakfast around. Located in a perpendicular quiet and close to everything!

Well placed.

This hotel is located in a very quiet area, which I loved. I booked a single room and was offered a free upgrade to a double room when I arrived. I stuck with the single room though, because the bed was much, much more comfortable. The hotel isn't near any of the major tourist attractions, but this isn't a problem. Berlin has an excellent public transport network, and you can easily reach everything by U-bahn, S-bahn, bus and/or tram. To my delight, I discovered that Uber IS allowed to do business in Berlin, so there's that option too (I was really pleased to see this; I think it's nothing short of horrific that Uber is banned from so many other German cities. Getting back to my review (I will stop my Uber rant now!), it's also very easy to get to and from the airport. The bus (number 109) stops five minutes from Hotel Majesty. The U-bahn and S-bahn stations are a nine-minute walk away. If you arrive at the S-bahn station, exit the station, turn right. Take the first road right. Then you turn left into Mommsenstraße (you will see the Haus of 100 Beers at that intersection. Number 55 is about 400 metres down the road. I didn't opt for the breakfast ... however it looked simple but fine (white bread rolls, cold meats, cheese etc... the normal stuff). The hotel manager deserves special mention; she's a utter delight. Always smiling and ready to help. I would happily stay at the hotel again, although the price was a little bit on the high side. Oh, one last thing. No shower/bath gel is provided. Only hand soap. So take your own. One important tip: the bedrooms next to the breakfast area are obviously very noisy during breakfast, with people chatting and moving chairs and tables. If you like to sleep late (like I do!) then it would be a good idea to opt for a room that is away from the breakfast area.

Lovely place to stay in Berlin.

Clean room with OK amenities, but internet wasn't working for most of the time and when it did there was weak signal. Also the room was quite noisy in the mornings, which is fine if you're up early (6-630am).

Meh.

The boarding house is logically well placed, close to the train and the subway. The rooms are not modern but they have everything you need, cleanliness ok, nice shower, they are spacious and there is WiFi. Breakfast is average but fine, staff is nice and driving is all family-friendly.

A retirement that is a retirement

The hotel is located on the ground floor of an old building, divided into two separate parts, on both sides of the wide entrance hall of the building. One person is supposed to manage the 15 rooms, arrival and departure of the guests, breakfast, management, etc. Only good points for good accessibility of transport and for cleanliness. But the Kafkaese situation that I lived in, I had not considered: it was 5:35 pm and arrival is scheduled until 6:00 pm. The building was closed, I rang for a long time but did not open it. I was able to accept a cash card from a person who had arrived in the building thanks to a closing card. So I was surprised that the person who had finally arrived at the door of my apartment had finally opened the door, but I was not able to make a reservation in front of the hotel.

To never live again

We stayed for three nights, fantastic location - just a few hundred metres from the train station. We walked to the zoo easily from here. Lots of restaurants in close proximity too.
Our room was lovely (minus the fact people had been allowed to smoke), beds comfortable and pillows were great! Bathroom was literally a part of the room sectioned off, quite cramped but sufficient. The building is beautiful with some gorgeous features.
We didn't have breakfast as we wanted more time to explore.
Would definitely stay again. The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming.

Great place to stay

Old and disused furniture, like hanging beds, no towel exchange, mold in the shower, the only glimpse was the location and the very friendly staff, breakfast okay.

Not recommended at all!

If you are used to standard hotels chains, this will be a new experience. The concept is more of a family board house. Clean but quite old and used. They contemplate a refurbishing. 
Breakfast is average, but ok. 
Very nice surroundings, close to Charlottenburg. Nice restaurants in the street, going in Zentrum direction. 

The lady running the hotel (and doing every thing by herself!) is very, very nice, sympathetic and reliable. She speaks 5 languages. 

The don't accept credit card, which can seem quite weird. Prepare cash or transfer.  

Nice people

My friend and I were there for 3 nights. We had booked breakfast, which was more than rich, fresh and delicious. The staff is super friendly and hospitable. The room was sour and beautifully furnished (we like the old style). We can only recommend it further and were more than satisfied especially the breakfast was great. :-)

Nice hotel.

It's a simple boarding house with old-fashioned arms in Charlottenburg, 1A. The boarding house is run by a very kind, friendly lady. The rooms are clean, but it's pretty bright. We had a big room by the street with a small bathroom. Since we had to leave early in the morning, it wasn't bad.
