Sleep like Home Apartment

We had booked 3 weeks with Sleep Like Home Apartments (SLHA) via Booking.com. We were not allowed into Germany from the USA by the German government due to Covid-19. It was impossible to communicate with SLHA, we tried through Booking.com also. Booking.com said we had to deal directly with SLHA. 
In a nutshell, SLHA would not allow us to change our dates and kept ALL our money (3 weeks worth of rent.) Booking.com refunded what they charged us as their fee. 

Ripped off

Booked 5 nights in Berlin on booking .com, months ago, paid in full at the time of booking.  Got an email literally a week before our flights to say that our check-in time to the accomodation was too late, even though I had advised in the special requests box the time of arrival and ensured that on the description that it said there was a key lockbox for late arrivals.  I responded to the email saying that it was fine as we were really looking forward to staying at sleep like home apartments and that we were happy to book a hotel for the first night at our own expense and check in in the morning I received another email back from them saying that they have overbooked and now we have to cancel.  Now we will be hundreds of pounds out of pocket in finding a similar alternative at short notice and I'll have to waste my Sunday morning researching tram routes and locations in Berlin.  Very disappointed in the customer service and honesty of this company.

UNTRUSTWORTHY owners cancelled our booking at the last minute but lied about the reason.

Beware of booking here. Communication with the owners is very complicated. During the days of stay they did not answer the phone even once. There was no way to get a bill or a simple room receipt (always referred to me as Booking). They speak neither English nor are professionals. Within a few days of leaving the apartment, they charged a 60 euro card. When asked, they said they had done that charge by cleaning service (which they had already charged for during the stay) and by extra towels, towels that were in the closet. I am still in the process of getting theirs. The apartment is right, but at least for a couple. The kitchen. It's a quiet but quiet return from the area of Berlin.

It is not a trusted establishment, not a professional.

Apartment is convenient for both those arriving from Schoenefeld Airport and those visiting the entire city (Alexander Platz is only 4 stops away).

That's perfect.

This flat is ideally located for exploring Berlin. Close to Schoenefeld airport and underground. It is super comfortable, has wooden floors, a big bathroom with bath tub, a well-equipped kitchen, and lovely furniture.
I spent three nights there and loved it. Would book again.
