The title speaks volumes. The six-course menu completely overwhelmed me, the wine pairing as well. We didn't want to get bored and by God, we didn't get bored. Service 11/10, no mistakes, great on that, clear recommendation!

Taste + wine = perverts

The hotel is in a prime location, directly across the street from the town's main train station. I stayed for 5 nights. Great if you're looking for a small, budget hotel. Rooms are clean and well kept. Kris is a very attentive host. Underneath the hotel is Restaurant Intensiu, which is a fine dining establishment. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, and the staff is very accommodating.

Cozy, prime location in Hilden

Last week we were our first guest at the Hotel Monopol. The slightly more journey was absolutely worth it. We were warmly received and were very enthusiastic about the kindness of the staff and the cozy room. The absolute highlight was the evening visit to the in-house restaurant Intensiu. It was an absolute experience!!! It really suited everything from start to finish. The ambiance in the restaurant was just the hammer! Mr. Bratec and his team are masters in what they do. Here you are simply well-trained. We booked again right on departure and look forward to the next stay.

A beautiful house with super cozy beds

The location is very nice in a side street in a residential neighborhood right next to the charming S-Bahn station. The staff is nice and charming. There are two parking spaces available if you're lucky. If you're lucky, you curve around forever... On the first stay I had a relatively generous double room with a large bathroom with a window, balcony to the courtyard. Great. On the second stay with my husband and my adult son we also had a single room and a double room to the street. Horrible!

First stay (alone) great, second stay (including 3 adults) unsatisfactory!!

Simple hotel, but very clean rooms, spacious bathroom, I even had a room with my own balcony. :-) Very nice reception, very very hospitable!! Quiet location, yet convenient to traffic right at bus and subway stations.

Nice little hotel, nice hospitality.

I stayed from 8 till 10th of June in this hotel. (Traveling alone) Got welcomed by reception and checkin was perfect, agreed on a late breakfast as well. The room at 2nd floor was simple but very nice. Good shower, toilet and bed. What else does a man need. Got my bed changed extra on request and daily fresh towels. Breakfast was reserved for me again on Sunday matching the time my train was leaving in the morning. Very good and friendly service. Good pricing. 

Perfect stay close to station and city center

Having previously stayed in a selection of local hotels, this one is the most convenient for getting about during your stay. Its a ten minute walk into the town, there are a variety of restaurants and bars closer to the hotel and its just a stones throw from both the main railway station and bus terminus. Get your timings right and you can be in Dusseldorf or Solingen in as little as 20 minutes from the hotel.

The room was very spacious although the bathroom less so but adequate. Breakfast is a self serve buffet, better than many in higher star hotels that I've used. There is very limited parking immediately at the hotel and it does not boast a lift - certainly an issue for the less mobile.

I stayed for work with colleagues we took two very clean rooms good breakfast very kind and caring staff strongly recommend parking not always available but nearby you can find a good place relationship quality price recommendation

It's a good hotel.

The hotel is located opposite the railway station. You can reach Düsseldorf by train in a few minutes. The centre of Hilden can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. Very nice reception! The room (for the courtyard) was not large, but still enough for one person. The room and the bathroom are clean. Glad to see you again!

It's simple and nice.

A simple hotel that fully met my expectations: a clean room, a nice bathroom, a nice reception and a breakfast that left no wishes open. I was even asked if I preferred mirror lemon or chicken soup - the lady of the house then makes it refreshing! My room was at the back and even had a balcony. I didn't notice any disturbing train noise, although I slept with the window open. Looking for the sea view is in vain, but I can only say that it has fulfilled its purpose for a business night at a low price! I'd love to come back!
