Very friendly reception, nice room and very clean room. The breakfast was delicious! Especially delicious was the lettuce, the homemade salad and the daily stir-fry of fresh eggs. Always friendly and helpful staff. We're back!

A hotel to feel good about

Beautiful room that seemed uninhabited or newly renovated (but it wasn't), very clean and without any wear and tear features at the facility, the gold-plated plungers and light switches, decoratively tiled bathroom with heated towel holders, flat screen TV in the DZ with comfortable roof racks. There is no elevator for 2 floors.

Nice, cheap hotel

Despite its proximity to the beach and the tourist centre of Karlshagen, it is a very quiet and pleasant hotel. Rooms are very spacious and clean, styling is probably 90s (deco on tiles, switches and sockets with gold edge). Staff at the reception are friendly and helpful but only limited in attendance. Parking is available and the price is moderate. Bathroom is quite large, so the very small shower cabin, for this reason all the more amazing.

Relaxation on the Baltic Sea

Great hotel, great location, it's only a few meters to the beach. We had an apartment and this was very generous, everything was clean and we had a balcony with a forest view. Breakfast about 50 meters away in an Italian restaurant, very nice and plenty to choose from.

Very nice hotel

Our stay was very nice! At the reception we were very warmly welcomed and welcomed, the room was pleasantly large, as was the balcony next to it. The room and the bathroom were very clean, we felt very comfortable. The situation is naturally unbeatable. We are happy to come back! Unfortunately, the beds roll very easily apart, perhaps feet should be placed under the beds instead of rolls.

Great location, great room - highly recommended!

My husband and I were recently at the restaurant. 3 waiters, no hello, no good day. First contact of the waiter Crabs are out today...we both felt the service was very unfriendly and also unattractive. After asking twice we got our second round of drinks.The food was okay and also fast.because it's too bad.because we won't go there again on our vacation.

More than unfriendly

My friend and I stayed at this hotel while visiting the WW2 rocket site at Peenemunde. I cannot recommend the location enough – the surrounding area is a beautiful sea-side spot with a lovely beach stretching for several kilometres around the peninsular. 
We chose the hotel for its location, plus the free and secure car-parking. However, when we arrived we were very surprised and pleased with the almost seafront location of the hotel and the pleasantness of the whole area. The small town is not overly commercialised and only boasts a couple of cafes and restaurants, a few gift shops and some small hotels. I think the Dunenschloss was probably one of the largest hotels in the area.
All the rooms that we saw looked very good. My own was an enormous ground floor room, almost like a suite, and it had patio doors that opened onto a lovely garden at the back of the hotel. Each of the ground floor rooms overlooking the garden had a small table and chair set so that you can sit outside and enjoy the garden if you wish.
We stayed for one night but chose not to eat in the hotel itself. The reason was that we were walking and passed a restaurant with an attractive menu and went in there because it looked good. When we were back in the hotel later that evening we sat in the restaurant/bar area and have to say that the food looked very good.
We stayed in the bar for the rest of the night and got chatting to the owner, a very helpful gentleman who’s English was, luckily, better than our almost non-existent German. On this point I should add that being this far across Germany, the rest of the staff didn’t have much English but we all managed to make ourselves understood and they were all very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast the following morning was the usual selection of cold meat, cheeses, bread, spreads, and also bacon and fried eggs – we didn’t leave hungry!
Overall I can’t recommend this place enough – location was excellent for our needs and great staff. I should also add that the Polish border was less than an hour down the coast road, so we took advantage of that to make a quick stop before continuing our journey on to Berlin.

A lovely surprise!

I booked my stay in this hotel for a short time. I was very kindly advised and when I had another special request, I was not disappointed. I felt very well taken care of. The hotel made a well-groomed impression. We rented an apartment with 2 rooms. The water boiler, refrigerator and sink are hidden in a closet. The parking lot is fenced and costs about €3.00 a day. Breakfast is varied and recommended. You can even have breakfast here if you don't stay in this hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the fine sandy beach. Since the spa towns are full of beaches. There is nothing to escape from here as long as you can get to the beach.
