For the second year we stayed in this hotel for the famous Crastatone di Piancastagnaio. Hotel with immense possibilities. Parking, park with quietly kept chestnuts, outdoor furnishings side park in white plastic of different styles, an old interior sofa placed externally and at the entrance of the structure, always externally, a small modern plastic living room from the outside (carino). On the other hand a terrace with a wonderful panorama, but the terrace itself kept rather badly, with old gazebos and well repaired, outdoor furnishings made of very nice but little stretched iron, disconnected flooring.

A fortune near the center and unique hotel structure

Let's assume that we don't have a spacious flat in Piancastagnaio, in fact I'd say almost nothing. Two-star hotel and nothing more. Some rooms have been renovated but would still need a setup. In a very old structure. Clean in the standard. Very basic breakfast. Ask for room 104!!!! Very nice the interior park and view. Just a few steps from the historic center.

Two stars too much.

I book this tree in early June for a night in late July. I get the confirmation email about the availability and the cost of the room. 10 days later I get a very telegraphic email saying cause increase now the cost of the room has increased by 10€ please confirm. But how is it?

Total disappointment

A family lunch that will never be forgotten, great availability from the owner and excellent cuisine, cozy, available and excellent price ratio, breathtaking views and chestnut park with plants of all kinds.

Very recommended. Zero stars. Breakfast with food expired for 6 months I was very sick I vomited all morning and the owner was also angry that I came down late and didn 't want to clean the room.

Indescribable weight not recommended

Objectively clean and orderly rooms, nothing to say. In times of covid it's not bad. There's no elevator but for us it wasn't a problem. Quiet at night. Restaurant: endless waiting, low-middle-level dishes, exaggerated spending, a theft. The menu doesn't contain the true prices, they have another one (not exposed) with not better specified increases. Don't eat there.

Just to sleep.

For one or a few nights the hotel is also good in terms of quality price, but the restaurant is bad. Expect endless pizza not available on Saturday night) and exaggerated price for a menu almost taxed of low average quality.

Bad and expensive restaurant

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a gentleman of a certain age who to our question if we needed the green pass replied If you tell me you believe them, he handed us the keys to the room which is on the second floor without an elevator and tells us that we can go when we want. As soon as we entered this hotel we found the first thing we knew was the small size of the room, but in the end it was very clean and this was also an interesting alternative, because with us there was our three-year-old daughter, and then we had more than enough to eat, so I went to the big glass of wine and the glass of wine... I had already been frozen in the bathroom the next day, and I asked the next day, and then I decided to go to the bathroom, and then I said, If you want to have a little glass of milk, you're going to have to make a very bad decision.

Look for another hotel.

We do not like to make negative assessments, but it is noted that the hotel website does not indicate the absence of the elevator for the whole week for three people (800), there is only one staircase leading up to the first floor and, therefore, to the second floor you walk, both with the bags and with the elderly. Obviously, if the elderly person has legs problems, they are forced to leave, as we had to do last August 20, having to pay the full amount of the overnight stay for three people (800) without even bringing the luggage to the rooms. There was no consideration of the situation by the owner (the elevator info room) that we should have had a limited encounter with the owner of the site, as we have been told by other hotel managers during the last 20 days, and the question of whether to return to the hotel, as the owner of the hotel, who would not want to return to the hotel for three days (except three days), did not want to return to the hotel.

Missed stay due to absence of elevator

Hotel recently renovated interior has discrete comfortable and clean rooms. Very positive note is the restaurant which offers many original and tasty dishes.
