We a great stay here. Our host was wonderful and helpful. We stayed in the Pilotina room with the small balcony. Very nice. Loved having that feature. It was 44 stairs to our room, no problem.
Keep in mind, a lot of uphill walking and stair climbing in the Cinque Terre. Be prepared. The location is excellent, on the main street in Riomaggiore close to the train station. Everything is nearby, grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants. Will definately stay here again.  Highly recommended all around. Captain Techie approved.

Great Hotel, Great Location

We have stayed here in May during our visit of Cinque Terre. The apartment is very nice, cosy and clean even if it is a bit small (but this is the situation in 5 terre). It has also a small balcony + wifi connection. 
It is located on the main street, aprox  7 min from the train station. It is right a cross of a supermarket + close to several restaurants. The manager was very nice and helpful. We recommend it.

B&b located in the center of Riomaggiore. The room is perfectly soundproofed clean and very bright and comfortable. Well cared for in detail. Host very kind and provided us with all the information we needed for our stay! It also has a luggage storage, which never fails if like us love to stay until the last second! We strongly recommend.

Nice room with small balcony. the rooms are a bit atypical with wood and different levels. attention, going to the rooms is a challenge in addition to the villages of the five lands.. you have to plan only a few baggage. advantage, if you pay for the parking we are quiet all the time! the guests are very friendly.

I was very satisfied with my stay in this B&B. The location is fantastic, you can reach the main centres of interest in a few minutes. Thanks to the proximity of the station I was able to visit the other countries of the 5 lands. Cleanliness and voting organization 10. I stayed with my boyfriend in the Pilotina room.

I had the opportuity to stay at two similar catagory hotels in Cinque Terre in Sept 2019, one in Monterosso, the other in Riomaggorie, this opportunity allowed me to share my experience of the two hotels and towns.

Sottocoperta in Riomaggorie is by far the better place for accommodation, in general, foods and other expenses are slightly cheaper.  This location is very close to the followings:
1. Train station (but you cannot hear the noise from the train)
2. Convenient store across the hotel where you can buy water, alcohol, fruits and vegs, dairy etc.
3. Many many restaurants close by, (sit in or takeaway)  if you like takeaway deep fried seafoods in a cone, there are two stores right across from the hotels, and one within 10-15 stores away from the hotels, (which is probably the best one in Cinque Terre)
4. ATM machine
5. Pharmacy
6. The Ocean

Finally, "Sara" our hostess was amazing, she was very caring and helpful.
I highly recommend this hotel and will book it again next year when I take my two children there.

Great Place to Stay in Riomaggiore

We were in Portofino and decided to get a drink. The menu said that you have to pay 2€ for service. We ordered coffee and when it arrived it was all spilled. We expected the staff to be more professional and better trained. After the complaint we didn’t have to pay the service fee. Besides that, we were also disappointed to find that the toilet was very dirty. We do not recommend visiting this restaurant but we do recommend visiting Portofino since it’s very nice.

We spent one night at Sottocoperta.
The owner was very kind, helped us with the parking and the luggage, for which she had to climb and descend the hill to the round-about. Thank you.
The room was accessible through narrow and steep stairs. The location is superb, just in the heart of Riomagiorre, steps from the train station and marina.
The room is fairly small though, with basic IKEA-like furniture. The shower is also on the small side.
Great restaurants / gelato / shops nearby.
We went to Monterosso by boat, came back by train.

Good location in Riomaggiore / Cinque Terre

We stayed in this apartment for three nights... The location is charming...a few steps from the sea...the room has been recently renovated...there is also a well-equipped kitchen for those who wanted to eat at home. The bathroom is a little small and without windows but still full of shower boxes and bidets. From the bottom of the room there is a wonderful view of the sea!! The owner is a very kind and available girl who provided us with all the necessary directions to visit these wonderful corners of Liguria.

Week End at the Five Lands!

I met Sarah at the office who so kindly brought my huge heavy suitcase all the way up 4 flights of stairs. She was SO nice and helpful! Told us everything we needed to know. The room was clean and well kept. Perfect for the 1 night I was staying. Couldn't have had a better stay! Close to the train station too- just a 5 minute walk!
