We were both in the hallway shower accommodation, unfriendly hosts, otherwise the room was relatively clean and spacious for Amsterdam's healthcare! Even with terrace! The room was pretty well located in the center...

unfriendly host

Hotel very well located, close to the museum district. Clean room but old, mattress not firm, covered by another time. Bathroom of correct size and clean. It indicates on site that it has a parking lot, which is totally false. You can actually park in front but it is a public place at 6€ an hour. Parking on P+R parking including the Olympic Station 4-5 Km, return by tram. Place at 1€ per day if you have the I AMSTERDAM pass for example.

Really average

A small hotel located behind the Vondelpark, so not far from the centre (can be reached easily on foot). Recommended if, and only if, you have no big claims. To have a place to go back only to sleep and take a shower, is more than good, especially if you want to spend little. For the service offered, the price may still seem high compared to Italian standards, but compared to the average of Amsterdam, it is affordable.

Economic solution

I don't have plenty to say about this hotel honestly. It's in an typical Amsterdam building meaning it's very thin and tall. Reception was okay, the guy there was friendly enough. 

I got a room on the top floor which is three floors up, was a bit or a workout getting up there but not to bad. Room was small but managable! Nice big bed and good pillows. A little closet and a table avaiable. Bathroom was tiny and as the roof was tilted it was hard showering without getting your hair wet so that's a minus. 
Cleaning is okay, not sure if they went in there everyday and actually cleaned but I did find new towels everyday. Boilers and stuff like that you can find on the bottom floor and not in your room so I didn't try those out. Wifi is also only located on the bottom floor so it didn't reach my room which was a bit of a shame.

In general you get what you pay for. It's easy to get there to, close to the local transporation and is neighbor to the Vendeel Park which is a really nice area to have breakfast in. You have some shops and stores nearby and I walked in to the city everyday so that's a possibility aswell. I did get the feel that the area was safe enough but was recomended by a friend who lives in Amsterdam not to hang around by myself at night so I'm not sure on that one.

Maybe since I was on the top floor I didn't hear many of the other guest much so I can't say much about that to be fair. Staff is alright, hotel in general is acceptable. 
I would maybe go again simply because of the price and if you're not to picky I would recomend it for you aswell.

They did store my bag on the day of check out but I had to pay £5 for that which is pretty cheap since I had asked around town for luggage storage before that.

Sipperman - an okay stay

No bowls for me I booked two days before I left and this is the last one near downtown. To make it simple: it's very dirty. Tough. Dusty little. Sinking. Bricoler Matelas that's at least 30 years old. Old dirty cover. Very medium SDB state.

SVP choose another hotel

The most unpleseant hotel i ever visited some friends had bedbugs  the blankets unuseble the spaces unhealthy and small for the prices practiced i hope they had also a visit from amsterdam health department were we made a complaint about the health hazards

Horrid

After paying 290 euros for two nights I woke up around 4am with horrible itching. My companion had decided to sleep on the floor because of the tightness of the bed or saying for two. I turn on my laptop and I see bed bugs running. I end the night sitting on a chair waiting for booking. com to answer me and the hotel reception to answer my bell.

It was horrible.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time it's all fine. Apart from a little  the strange smell when you enter (quiet will be some Dutch soup in cooking) it's all fine. Good rooms for those who don't claim luxury but also a point of support for travelers who like to stay at the hotel only for shower and sleep.

Holidays in Amsterdam

I usually avoid writting bad reviews but this time it just exceeded all limits.
What they dont say in the booking: free wifi is only in the ground floor and You have to have 20Eur cash as deposit for the room card.
The hotel is poorly maintained, it is worn out. The room cleaning is done poorly, basically just changing towels.
When I arrived I saw a bucket under the sink, appeareantly the plumbs are leaking and it collects the water. This was not fixed during the stay.
Single room I stayed was on the forth floor, I had tiny window fasing a rooftop. 


Do not book this hotel

I stayed in Amsterdam for 4 days with my boyfriend. We booked this hotel because it had a good price and a rather central location. We arrived at the hotel earlier than expected, and since our room was not ready, they still assigned us another (even bigger)!very much appreciated. The hotel is behind vondelpark, in a narrow street, so very quiet. Every morning they clean the rooms and change the towels. The only problem with the room for me was the shower! for the rest of it ok!
