I've never had such a bad stay. instead of giving information to friends on the front of the phone preferred to play by phone and there was a strange smell in the room. We needed to take the comments into account and decided for this hotel. 
But we made a big mistake

Terrible!

There were 4 of us in the room and we didn't walk on it. There was a big closet, a clean, functional water room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel motto: the customer is king! You shouldn't expect a royal breakfast, but there is a choice of hot drinks, there are eggs, sausages, bread (no Viennese, and it's heated industrial food) We weren't disappointed, given the price. Parking places in the hotel's vicinity are very affordable (compared to Amsterdam!)

Good value for money

At the reception, two very kind English-speaking gentlemen who really helped us to understand how smart timers work for parking vehicles in the back alley in front of the hotel. A nice hotel close to the center and restaurants. A simple but efficient lunch; no damage to yogurt or fruit.

Welcome, near the centre

I stayed in this hotel with a friend. We had the room on the top floor. The stairs are narrow and steep. The room was very spacious but the double bed is really small (a square and a half) and the blanket is suitable for a single bed. We had chosen the common bathroom but we had the bathroom in the room and also the shower, convenient! Towels and soap included. The phon is not there. The disturbing thing is that we turned on the TV in the room and we saw the recordings of the hotel cameras. Breakfast is scarce but indispensable. The staff is a little cold, it's not at all social.

It's disturbing.

Of course, choosing a hotel like this you can't expect who knows what, but this should be closed immediately, full of dust, very small rooms with nightmares, bathrooms let's not talk about it!

If you're looking for a hostel without many pretenses, the Amar is more than fine. Obviously, from an objective point of view, there are many negative points. I booked a double room in this hotel/hostel at the last minute (i.e. the very morning), by necessity I was more or less all right. The double room had a square and a half (a bit uncomfortable for two people), a shower box (the small but excellent pressure and hot water docking!) and a sink. The toilet was outside. The room had the carpet and this carpet is dirty to parer them. The chairs in the room had cushions, were splattered and definitely dirty.

Hostel last minute all right

POSITIVE NOTE: The rooms at the rear of the hotel are quite quiet; the young guys who are part of the staff are very friendly and smiling (apart from the two older gentlemen (maybe the parents of the entire staff?) who don't even say hello); the common bathroom we have always found clean.
