It was a big disappointment.The hostess was very kind with some favors.The house is very careless.We had two bedrooms, one in the bed so noisy that we could not move, the other curtain in the shower, damp corners and uncleaned corners with bitches, dirty carpets...in the kitchen in the pile of two cockroaches and above the washing machine.On the outside furniture, cushions and dirty floors with leaves and weather mats everywhere, the pool area and solarium equally uncleaned with the rotating hammocks, no nos baños, although we were told that it was not available.

Disappointing and lack of maintenance and cleaning.

Well-positioned and well served by public transport, the villa appears to be in decay, very neglected, it is not the one presented in the photos. Except for the arrival for the delivery of the keys there is no other service, dated and smooth laundry. Cleaning much to improve.

Overall 3/5 (does not meet expectation)

Pros : Beautiful building in a residential area, Near park Guell, very helpful staff, clean, well equipped kitchen at your disposal

Cons : General lack of maintenance, from the mattresses whom where old and uncomfortable, broken chairs on the terrasse, clogged shower, etc. 

Pro tip : 
- Near park Guell which does get busy, get up and visit early to avoid the lines
- hotel can be far, neighbourhood bus 116 passes often


Lack of maintenance 

The treatment was good, but arriving in the room was a huge disappointment.The mattresses with horrible piercings, the sheets full of balls, the walls with moisture and in poor condition.....the enclosure as far as the truth was concerned.....with the illusion that we had...to pay 135€ per night and not be able to sleep a penas is a robbery I think. No I advise. Thank you!

A poor quality/price ratio

The house is beautiful but we were unlucky to be touched by the worst room, small and with a bathroom hardly accessible by the door arrangement. Only care for one person from 9 to 6...the rest you're alone in the house.We ran out of hot water one day and the taxi we had to get to congress leaves us drawn...The area is full of busy, sloping streets and no shops and restaurants.Of course we won't go back!!!

An unpleasant stay.

A group of ladies stayed at Casa Vilaro for a long weekend. We rented the villa exclusively (4 bedrooms) which was hugely overpriced for the poor quality of the accommodation. 
One bedroom was next to the kitchen and clearly had water leaking through the ceiling as you could see the damp patches and the bedding got wet, and then the bathroom flooded twice during the 4 days which turned out the be the toilet, and was clearly not a new issue as there have been similar reports on booking.com website. We also experienced a power cut one night around 6pm meaning that we couldn’t get ready for our night out and had to be cancelled, it took over 2 hours for the contact person to arrive and the fuse box was in a locked room. This issue has also been reported on booking.com reviews so again an issue they are not fixing. 
Overall the villa smelt damp (especially the kitchen which was not pleasant), and apart from the lounge chairs immediately outside (but under cover) the whole of the outside areas were appalling and uninviting. 
On the third day whilst I was getting dressed in the morning a man arrived into the villa with his wife and suitcases for an anniversary treat. Not only were we not informed that other tenants would be using our entrance to access the lower ground floor bedrooms (basement), but then on going down to the rooms they were greeted with this entrance area (photo 3), the owner has called a “lounge area under refurbishment” !!! 
There is no staff as such just an employee there to let you in and show rooms, but was always two hours away when we had a problem. 
We asked to speak with the owner several times but were told he didn’t speak English so this wasn’t possible, however someone is clearly replying to reviews on booking.com and replied by email to the person who booked the villa in English so clearly has an understanding. To not be available to speak when we were there is simply unacceptable. Please read other websites reviews and see that these issues are ongoing and every report is responded to with a thanks for feedback and they are trying to improve all the time. We did not feel this is the case they are simply fleecing people £000s for substandard accommodation. 
Read the description on trip advisor and then look at these photos - not quite as advertised, and as for the view, well mostly it is the block of flats opposite ! 
If you want a nice holiday in Barcelona do NOT book here !

This is without doubt the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in
It is falsely advertised where the expectation is you have the use of the entire villa, however this is not the case and other guests arrived during our stay to reside downstairs from us in the bottom part of the villa, which was still a building site and falsely advertised as a Boutique Hotel
During our stay we had
A power cut; for several hours.
2 floods, bathroom and bedroom under feet of water
No flushing toilet in one bedroom 
No working shower in the same room
No pool use due to being filthy
Only 3 sun loungers available to use for 12 people
Working Shower running cold
Poor drainage in other shower
Decor is tired and dated 
Villa was very cold and no effective heating 
Also appears to have remote monitored cameras within the Villa!

You should absolutely avoid staying at Casa Vilaro!

Casa Vilaro is extremely over priced and despite all our problems we have received no apology or refund 

NEVER stay at Casa Vilaro if you want to enjoy your trip to Barcelona 

Overpriced Appalling Accommodation 

12 of us stayed at Casa Vilaro for 5 days. The decor is really grubby and the whole place is in need of a makeover. The smell of damp is very strong. One of the bedrooms had a toilet that only flushed by lifting the cistern lid to do it. The ground floor bedroom ensuite flooded twice with water pouring in to the bedroom and kitchen. There was a power cut which cancelled our night out as took hours for the staff member to arrive. The swimming pool was covered in all the leaves and bits from the trees. This villa is not worth even half of what they charge.  Avoid at all costs !

Overpriced Faulty Towers

We were not taken care of to visit all the facilities, room not very clean, no bathroom intake, disappointed overall, however very good location, close to the subway and Guel Park

Disappointment

If you can't find any other accommodation you can consider Casa Vilaro we won't go back down to this establishment. The only positive point is the location of three metro stations in Plaza Catalunya
