As soon as we arrived at the hostel we tried to type in the reservation code reverted via email. The door didn't open. An hour and a half to try the code. We called the Emergency number (unnecessary) because there was the telephone answering machine. We sent several emails (never got an answer). We called the police from despair. Then for our luck, a college boy got into the hostel and we got in. Additional complication the automatic check. He didn't even give me the receipt to understand the assigned room. I had taken a photo as a precaution in which there was the number of the camera (other nightmare) written from the automatic machine. Talking about the camera, I could say faithful, unlucky and uncalled.

It was a nightmare experience.

Great location! Nice hostel with automatic check-in. You can walk around Barcelona and get to the center in a few minutes. Clean and essential room. Unusable TV, big a few inches and very far from the bed. There is no closet for clothes. There is the safe. To be a hostel, however, it is a bit expensive.

Great hostel maybe a little expensive

Very dirty, cutter, with mold in the living room, extremely noisy, free, without basic furniture in the living room and very expensive!!Never again, Barcelona has a lot to offer, NO RECOMMENDED TIME IN A CASE OF EMERGENCE!

We were shocked to see that there was no reception nor the receptionist for this "hostel"! The thing is we are a retired couple not young adults who can only go to hostels. We booked a nice hotel room according to the pictures although the price seemed too high we booked it for Cad $371.36 on the 6th of May for the two nights were coming back on May 17-18 before we flew back to Canada. When we took the taxi there (location is good) the taxi driver couldn't find a hotel, because there wasn't any hotel at the address. There was a locked door with the dingdong hostel name on it. Somebody called Hiam who said he worked there happened to be coming in so he told us the room rates are 20 €,  but it changes sometimes. We realized that moment that we were ripped off so we immediately sent an email cancelling the booking with Expedia. When we came back today we realized that we were charged even though we never stayed in that hostel. This means they are openly ripping people off. 

We were shocked!

The hotel is well located, has a railway stop about 20 meters away and a subway stop about 100 meters away. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants in the area. The room is fine, it is very simple but well maintained. No noise is heard and it rests well. In my case I have my room cleaned every day so I have no complaints. The wifi works perfectly.

Very good for their price.

We stayed here for one night before going elsewhere. It was fine, quite basic, no fridge, kettle etc. Checking in was tricky as we didn’t copy the email which mentioned how to check in. We struggled getting a connection to download the mail to get our code in order to get the room key.
We asked for a twin room and did receive it.
I might stay here again if I was staying for one night again, not for any more than that, after our stay we met friends and stayed further down this road and that place had everything.
The location was good, easy access to public transport, we walked easily to Sagrada Familia and other places of interest.
There is a nice shopping street close by and some great places to eat.

If you would like cheaper and basic

The hostel is located on the Paseo de gracia, where this one begins, the location is beautiful.The normal room, wider than I expected, but very poorly cleaned, the bathroom I had to clean a couple of times and one day directly they did not make the room for us, they left us a roll of toilet paper on the lighting table.For what we paid, the stay was not good.

Good location, little cleanliness.

Although I understood that it was a economic hotel, when I got there I could see that it left much to be desired: lack of cleanliness and, in our case, a room overlooking an inner courtyard where garbage was dumped.

It wasn't what I expected.

On the + side: 
The room was small but was what we needed. 
It was very clean, from the sheets to the bathroom. 
The hotel was quiet and its location is convenient to go around Gracia. 

On the - side: 
Rooms aren’t equipped with a kettle and tea/coffee. 
There is not individual aircond so it can get warm or too cold.

Overall: 
Good value for money! We recommend.
