The hostel itself isn't bad for 25€ a night because it's the cheapest we've found, but the ghost was full of mold and there were cockroaches near the kitchen.WARNING - if you go in the summer of 2023 don't take the room of 6 women because there's an old woman who's crazy and she's spent the night talking alone and if you say something to her that insults you.It's because of that woman that we haven't stayed more than one night, because at night it was very scary and you stayed staring.And during the day not to talk and talk alone (and she told us that she was going to go there for 3 more months because she was waiting to find a house, so I warn you).If you don't want to have a bad stay, don't take that room.The hostel should have this in mind and tell you that she has to stay, because everyone else is bothered.

A crazy woman who lives in the women's room.

I'm not a fancy person and I've made a lot of hostels, this is the worst of them all!! Dirty, sheets smell, the bed is full of hair, the pillow smells of sweat despite the pillow covers. There is no hot water, the bathroom next to the rooms when the water is drawn out smells. The rooms smell of closed doors, no air turns and they are very hot. 24€ for a night seen and considered everything is a scam. Avoid it like the plague!!!

It's pulsating.

It was the worst hostel of my life, and I slept in a shepherd's cottage in Bolivia. It covered the mattress with hair, hair, bed bugs. Bathroom and dirty floor. Zero air in the room. Bathroom separated from the poison paper room.

Pityful.

We were four friends in the Carranza and booked in this hostel for its good location, in the center next to the Falla Theatre, for its accommodation alternatives, both rooms for four people and rooms to share with 10 according to your needs and tastes. After spending three nights it is worth highlighting above all the kindness of the staff and their close treatment. As for the hostel itself, it does not have any luxury but offers enough to spend a few days exploring Cádiz. It has a fridge area and dining tables to eat and store your food and another with armchairs to relax, watch the TV and take a beer without problems. But it also has a tender area, both on the second floor and in the Otherza, where it also has a kind of chodos point.

Hospitality is a gaditana.

We rented a room for 3 people and everything went very well, the attention of the owners was very good and we also recommended places to visit, a very good location and a very quiet area.

Very quiet and very good location.

It's hard to get an apartment like this for a cheap price, so quiet, so tidy, so clean, so homey, in the middle of the old town, 500 meters to the beach, one more beautiful than the other, 4000 years of history than hardly any other city in Europe.

Dream hostels with dream hostels

Cadiz was a destination of an interrail for Spain lasting 15 days, during which we always stayed in very nice hostels at a lower price. We were 4 25 year old boys, without any pretensions, except to find a decent bed and bathroom. We booked this hotel via Hostelworld, chosen after reading several reviews and especially after seeing the photos on the site.. obviously the price of 23 euros per night did not have high expectations (even if in Madrid and Seville we were always staying in very nice hostels at a lower price). We requested a mixed room from six boys with a shared bathroom.

That was a terrible experience.

It's a good location to go to the beach and visit the castles of Santa Catalina and San Sebastian, which was what we wanted to do, but it was a very ugly impression that made us. Aesthetically it's awesome. It has a room with a mosaic of every color, the electrical installation scary, the wordless sheets like the bathroom. Really uncomfortable. Although the attention is cordial. The price ratio is no. It's very expensive for what it is, and it offers. It doesn't have a TV. It has to climb the stairs with leather luggage.

There is no qualification.

If WIFI is important, don't book this hostel.

I stayed on the 3rd floor for a week, and there was no WIFI at all! 

The owners came up with a lot of poor excuses, blaiming it on my computer etc. But no one had wifi, and nothing was done about it. And unfortunately I really needed it! So for me this was very stressing.

There was wifi in the communal rooms, but what they don't tell you on their web page is that the communal rooms are closed and inacessable after 23pm. So that didn't help much.

The bad:
- No wifi on 3rd floor
- No access to the kitchen and communal area after 23pm (and no info about it on the web page!)
- very basic rooms, no lamp for reading, old matresses etc.
- thin walls, noisy

The good:
-Friendly and informative people, especially Vanessa at the reception
- nice not to sleep in bunk beds
- location is ok
- late tjeck out
- possible to leave the bag in the reception the last day
- clean bathroom
- Lockers in the room

For me lack of wifi was very negative, which is partly why I gave it 2 stars.
And not to be able to acess the kitchen in the night is also a negative for me. 

However, the people are nice and helpfull.



No wifi for one week..but friendly people.

If you're looking for basic accommodation and facilities in the center of Cadiz, this is the place. 
However, if you're looking for a room for a couple, I wouldn't recommend it as it is very noisy (very thin doors and windows, so you can hear the noise coming from the street and in the hallway from the travelers partying), there is no parking provided and it is a nightmare to find a public parking spot in the street, facilities and furniture are very basic... all of this could be okay for a decent price, but we paid 80,00€ and found it quite pricey for a hostel in the South of Spain, even for a private room, compared to the rest of the area. 

Strengths: 
- location: very central
- Very reliable wifi
- Friendly staff 
- Large and spacious room
- Late check-out: 12:00am

Weaknesses:
- very noisy: noise coming from the street (thin windows) and from the hostel itslef (thin walls and door)
- No elevator 
- You have to pay extra to leave your suitcase 
- Pricey for a hostel 
- Very difficult to find a parking spot -we had to park the car in a private parking lot at 15.00€ per day
