Tried to book online which failed due to the agent not accepting cards so just turned up! 
Night staff very helpful and welcoming. Paid cash as requested. Room on 3rd floor, lift would have health and safety in the UK running for the rule book but perfectly acceptable for those of a sensible disposition! 
The room itself warm clean, bed comfortable and warm, plenty of hot water. Minor critisism would be towels were only bath towels rather than bath sheet but they were clean too.
Tea and coffee were free. Wifi good access. As this was very much a last minute stay I did not have a phone charger with me so reception lent one to give the phone a boost. 
Breakfast was an option but we did not try this instead choosing to walk to a small cafe to eat. 
We would have no hesitation in returning. A very reasonably priced hotel and recommended.

Emergency overnight stay

Stayed 3 days. Hotel near the bazaar and a lot of restaurant. Good and friendly staff. Also enjoyed a nice breakfast. Was very happy that i could leave one big luggage there for a few days. Would definitely stay again on my next trip. Rakieb Taus

Nice and good hotel

The staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is very nice. They have a spacious place to store luggage like bicycles. It is very well equipped and very clean. The quality price is very good. The receptionists are always ready to help.

It would be suitable for 1-2 days, but there are some factors that are not in its favor.
The view of a dilapidated house and neighbourhood
They clean the streets at night with some kind of industrial vacuum cleaner and it sounds like a plane
an industrial compressor starts up at eight in the morning in the 'not much better condition' house next to the dilapidated house.

For 1 night in Izmir

We stayed at the Hotel for 5 nights . We found the manager and staff. Polite Helpful . Charming and welcoming . The daytime reception staff  very warm and a excellent greeting to their guests .each time we entered the hotel ...The room was clean well maintained comfortable and bright and cheerful  wi.fi connection  is severely lacking a service/ upgrade  as its very slow almost non existent in certain rooms and floors  of the   hotel .  Owners appear to be aware of this but are reluctant to  address   guests comments over several years reviews  regarding this .  We were  offered another room on a different floor which we accepted but again the same wi.fi problem..  . Good shower and hot water.. Housekeeping in the room was excellent. Rooms were cleaned and items changed everyday when requested . But tea/ coffee / water  facilities are for one day only with paper cups  not ceramic cups  and water  not bottled     You then have to provide your own. Which I found unacceptable   as it should be stated on the booking page  .and as for the cost per  night .of the hotel  To supply your own tea/ coffee .is ridiculous  cost cutting   by the hotel  owners    .especially as there are many lower star and priced hotels not doing this in the area .. The restaurant manageress and staff made a excellent job of breakfast. Great selection of food and beverages available although small portion control but you can re help yourself many times  .. Warm Bright cheerful area with relaxing music . Staff were attentive to guests needs in the restaurant /dining area cheerful polite and friendly .. The area was spotless The cleanliness in the hotel was 100% in  areas . . The hotel is very central to the Metro bus and Tram for easy access to Izmir attractions . .. The hotel   hospitality industry is competing for guests  and offer more than this hotel for  the price in my opinion  .. This hotel is a 2-3 star now  by the standards as they have dropped from a previous stay 
It's interesting to note . On the ground floor and first floor   where the reception and offices are  for guests bookings etc. The wi fi works excellently.. maybe if they had the same problems as guests ..and could not accept bookings. The hotel owners may upgrade the wi.fi. system   . All in all a fair stay here for a short time ...

Average stay 

Hotel very well located we stayed 4 days on Izmir after making a trip to Istanbul and Bodrum we encountered various problems at Marina Hotel Housing really average at our arrival -wifi dysfunction improvement on the last day no chair in the rooms to sit down Stink of drainage in the bathroom Bad smell around the hotel very lean breakfast cleared before your eyes at 10:30 even if you are in place even the room light is turned off so you leave the place faster Room layout and garbage unloaded he served to make a claim that the housekeeping is done once every 4 days the unimpressed the very welcoming breakfast we did not have the feeling of the general unwelcome and we are not really familiar with the turning of the turning of the turning and we are in the trades

Disappointing

Nice hotel, near to the center, the shops and the beach, good breakfast, good stuff and the price is very adequate 
They need to speak more languages, bcs not everyone can speak Turkish, at least English, also they need to put sheets instead of blankets bcs it’s August, and I didn’t understand why they ask us at the check in about the name of our parents, it was actually funny but surprising

Good experience

We lived in 206 rooms! The worst hotel in all of Turkey! Booking offered an upper-class room, stayed for 2 nights. It was terrible! - cockroach on the balcony. - one towel for 2 people and everything!. - rust. -dust. -hairs. -anti-coated breakfasts))) Swedish table in the best traditions.

That's disgusting, I wouldn't recommend it!

We picked this hotel near the waterfront and next to the park, stayed at this hotel for 3 days with the children. It's okay, the rooms are clean, but we didn't have a refrigerator. There is a minibar and tea/coffee with a teacup in the room. Breakfast is good as for the 3* hotel, you won't be hungry. Due to the pandemic, we were wearing masks in the dining room and wearing gloves. The rooms weren't cleaned, but we didn't have to. If you wanted to, you could ask the receptionist to clean the room.

Stopping with the kids.

The hotel is relatively central, some shopping streets such as Kemeralti/Cordon can be reached on foot. The rooms are narrow, but they offer a stylish setting. The beds are comfortable. The room is clean, but the bathroom is left to be desired. The area of the hotel is cruel, scary and dirty, even during the day. The breakfast was also very thin, there was almost no choice of food. The food available was also not fresh at all. I decided on this hotel due to the numerous positive reviews on Booking.com, however, my decision is immediately regrettable after arrival. The local taxi driver can advise on the area.
