Stayed here as a couple early September and found it to be very friendly and welcoming. On arrival there was ample off street parking and we were greeted by Sue who was friendly and helpful.  We were given a lovely room which was clean and comfortable, well equipped and  with a four poster bed.  Breakfast was perfect with a good choice available. 

There were several pubs/restaurants within easy walking distance for dinner. We went to "The Globe Inn" and "The Lord Bute" both of which proved great places to eat.

Overall Castle lodge s a great little guest house and I would definitely stay there again. Both Sue and Keith were lovely hosts.

Great Stay

From start to finish Keith and Sue were perfect hosts, when we arrived Keith carried our bags up to our room as my husband has a bad back! True Gent. The room was perfect! Clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and a great choice. Both Sue and Keith came out to chat and were so friendly. The location was superb too. There is a beautiful beach walking distance, and the castle more or less in their back garden which do fantastic tea and cake in the garden. We would both highly recommend this lovely little B&B to friends, family and anyone who loves a UK getaway.

Fabulous stay

Needed a place to stay close to Highcliffe Castle.  This could not have been more perfect... perfect location for castle, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and breakfast was super. My partner had the traditional which he said was tasty and my choice of smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough was perfect. 

The owners was friendly and amenable. I really cannot recommend this B&B enough.

Excellent Stay

I stayed here last week with my Mum, whilst visiting the area for a funeral. The room was very comfortable, with extras such as drinking water in the room, tea & coffee plus a fridge in the room. There is a lovely garden at the rear of the property and adequate parking. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. I can’t wait to come back!

An excellent find, can’t wait to return!

We had room 6, every thing you need in the room except height in the bathroom. Shower very powerful, breakfast was fine, parking easy.
My wife and I rarely agree on anything but we both agreed that there seemed to be something missing at Castle Lodge.

Average

Good location with plenty of parking for exploring the south Dorset/Hants coast. Highcliffe Castle and grounds nearby and easy travel to Bournemouth and Lymington. Room clean and comfortable with excellent breakfasts and choices. Friendly and helpful team looked after us very well; it was apleasure to stay here!

First timers at this B&B.

Stayed in Christchurch, Dorset UK for 2 days to visit an old aunt of mine.  Castle Lodge lived up to the reviews I read before I booked and I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay.  Everything was spotlessly clean, the breakfast menu was excellent and the service quick and first class. I would recommend this establishment to anyone..


Two relaxing days

We stayed for a couple of nights in room 5 at the back of the house overlooking the garden: the room is a good size with a large comfortable bed and an en-suite shower room with a very good shower. 
The breakfast was rather good and we were well looked after; the car park is quite large and the only negative point is the restricted visibility on leaving. 
Our stay was quiet and restful- we enjoyed it and would happily stay again. 

Very Pleasant Visit 

Having stayed in a number of B&Bs over the last 12 months, this is the best and as near to home from home that you can get. Sue and Keith go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable, from a warm welcome through to a good breakfast that will keep you going all day. With the use of a lounge area, patio and garden, you are not just stuck in a room, which is well presented and clean, with plenty of tea and coffee
