Stayed at this place before through convenience and I have to say the lovely new manager,Natalie, has really turned the place around. Fantastic friendly welcome abiding by all safe contact rules, but without taking any of the personal welcome out of it. She was on the ball with any help needed, including holding onto my lost phone and doing her best to get it returned. 

Lovely comfortable rooms with nice modern decor. I wanted to steal the bed it was so comfy and Natalie was very accommodating with my early check in and late check out requests. 

Once lockdown is over, I'd definitely return for a relaxing personal trip.

Fantastic place

I booked a four night stay in a fully equipped apartment.Stayed only two nights. Enough was enough.
It was not equipped with any type of crockery, cutlery or cooking utensils.
There were no curtains, no bulbs in the lamps and no batteries for the tv remote. I asked if this could be resolved. I was given a plate, bowl, cup and glass from the hotel kitchen. I was told that the issue with the curtains, light bulbs and batteries would be sorted on Tuesday while I was out.
The laminate floor throughout looked as if it had suffered flood damage as it was all curled up at the edges. The bathroom floor was collapsing around the shower. 
When I opened the cooker door, the glass stayed where it was. Once this was removed, I found a dirty greasy baking tray.
When the fridge was opened, the freezer door fell off.
I’m not even going to say anything about the cleanliness of the place as I don’t have time.
The photos shown of the apartment was nothing like the actual apartment that I stated in. It’s like they were photos from another hotel.
If you require an invoice from them, be warned. It takes a lot of time and effort to obtain one.

My stay at the Beechwood

Not sure what I can say other than this was the worst hotel
I have ever stayed in.  No curtain, no bulb in side light, the floor was bubbled and ripped from what looked like a leak, no cups/glasses to make a drink with, tv didn’t work, dirty, Hoover and bedding left in hallway (health and safety would have a field day with this place).  It was too late in the day to find somewhere else so had to stay, but never again and definitely do NOT recommend it!!

Atrocious Accommodation

My wife and I booked to stay at this hotel for two nights last Wednesday but on the Thursday the Welsh Government announced a local lockdown for Swansea, where we live, so we could not travel. We therefore asked the hotel for a refund for the two nights we had booked and they refused. This is blatant profiteering and should be against the law! We quite liked this hotel, having stayed there previously, but we will certainly not be booking with them again,

More interested in profiteering from the current crisis than offering a service

Heard it was under new management! Fantastic Afternoon tea all served in traditional bone china all homemade and fresh with the best sausage roll I’ve ever had! handmade by their own chef! Light, airy and spacious and all Covid Safe!! Looking forward to our next visit to sample the main menu thank you and see you again soon

Our first visit to the Beechwood hotel and it won't be our last. It has a lovely feel to it. The new owner was lovely as was the food. We both had cheese and bacon chicken burger which had a generous portion of chicken breast.
Very reasonably priced and the service was good too. Our dog got her water before our drinks came..Nice touch!   Only charged 60p for 1.5 pints of lime and soda. No charge for the soda water in the wine spritzer which is refreshing as so many places do. . Will be back!!!! Thank you!

Highly recommended!!!

The room itself was really lovely, the bed was comfy and it looks like it hsd recently been redecorated. Unfortunately the bathroom massively let down the room.
Unless you are under 4ft don't expect to be able to stand under the shower, and if you are larger than a size zero, you will burn your thighs on the radiator if you sit on the toilet (no relaxing sit down wees here guys!)
There were large lumps of sharp plaster in the bath which meant we couldn't bath the baby. Its a shame as the bathroom lets down the entire room and overall experience. 
If the review was based on the room alone then it would be getting a 10, but the burn on my thunder thigh means I just can't give it a higher rating. 

Let down by the bathroom

1st time back here for years. Wasn't sure what to expect but it was great.
staff were so lovely, waitresses were very attentive. 
Food was fresh and hot and portion sizes were huge and beautifully presented.
We had the fish in beer batter. It was Moby Dick! Such good value for money. I saw a few different dishes come out to the customers and they all looked great. Will definitely be back. :)

Great food, lovely staff and service

Great service with a smile which didn't take too long although being unexpectedly busy. The food was great with excellent presentation, one of the staff member was new and although still learning was confidant and welcoming

A lovely night

We stayed at the hotel visiting family in Coventry and were really pleasantly surprised with this beautiful hotel.  The outside was very floral and inviting, social distancing signs up clearly and a very clean smelling hotel.  We checked into our room which had recently been renovated.  The beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean and really good value for money.
We also ate in the restaurant when our family came and joined us for a meal and we had a very tasty meal.  Fish and Chips were wonderful especially as well as the gammon steak.  We enjoyed our dinner on the Saturday night so much we asked if they could fit us in for Sunday Lunch before going home and this was amazing.  The yorkshire pudding was certainly memorable and the portions were good and we left feeling full ready for our drive back to Wales.
The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and they couldn't do enough for you.
Certainly a hotel we will now be staying at more often when we come and visit family rather than a B&B.
The manager and the staff have worked so hard to make this hotel as lovely as it is in a short space of time and we will definitely be back.  Thank you for a lovely stay.
