The perfect countryside 3 night break. The 17th century hall is magnificent, we stayed in the kings room which is fantastic beyond our expectations. The location is perfect with loads of walks right from the door and close to villages and plenty of pubs. Vicky was the perfect host, very friendly, helpful and cooks one of the best full English breakfasts we’ve ever had, all fresh produce and fresh home made bread. We will definitely return.

Amazing 3 night break

This is a fabulous place to stay. A little off the beaten track, but easy to find and close to some great places to eat and drink. The building is very, very old and very, very comfortable, our bed was a glorious 4 poster. The room was huge, characterful, really well appointed and immaculately clean. Tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was fantastic. The dogs and cats just added to the charm of the place. Quiet? So quiet you can hear the grass grow. Wildlife? We saw Roe deer, fox, hare and a little owl, in only 2 days. The owner is so helpful. It pains me to say  all this because it is so good that it will be fully booked for my next visit 

You must not miss this opportunity 

The original building dates from the 1300s and was renovated in the 1600s.  The property is set on 700 acres of farm and pasture land in the Yorkshire Dales. Absolutely charming area and Vicki Duffus is a wonderful hostess. Our room was elegant and beautifully furnished, complete with  fabulous four poster bed! Views from every window , including the very modern bathroom. After dinner in nearby Middleham , it was lovely to return to Braithwaite Hall and relax in our spacious sitting room, complete with complimentary port! Breakfast was delicious, showcasing lots of locally sourced products. Our only regret is that we were only there for one night! Thank you so much Vicki!

Exceptional Experience

Fantastic location set in the Yorkshire national park . Stunning scenery. Amazing accommodation with very friendly host . Breakfast was very good quality. The host made my wife and I feel very welcome and looked after. The grounds are breathtaking with wildlife abundant.

Simply beautiful.

Beautiful old building, big rooms, high ceilings, thick walls, window seat, old stone fireplaces, stone mullion windows. Fabulous views. Very comfortable and warm. Quiet and peaceful. King size bed. All furnishings, fittings, kitchen and dining ware of very good quality. Bathrobe and slippers. Dishwasher.  Lots of parking. Dog friendly (working farm so keep dog on lead). Wifi was fine. Very welcoming, pleasant and helpful hosts. Generous welcome pack. I want to stay again. I want to see the rest of the Hall.

Pearl Wedding Anniversary trip

Great B&B, extremely friendly owners, beautiful views, the room we had was a huge oak panelled room with a four poster bed, the bathroom had under floor heating which was a bonus and breakfast was locally sourced and delicious.

B&B in a historic hall

Braithwaite Hall is everything & more that one would expect of a beautiful 17th century house..... with the added bonus of being able to stay there. Your hostess, Vicky is just charming & has hospitality down to a fine art. The house just oozes atmospheric period charm & is a truly romantic house.....one is transported to the period! For the guest, every 21st century amenity is there [though internet access is hit & miss..but who cares, it's good to escape it for once!!]. Breakfast is served in the lovely dining area off the hall & is just perfectly cooked & presented & utterly delicious....one breakfasts like a lord!! If you are looking for a fairy tale hideaway....this is the place.

A wonderful building in a stunning location

We had a wonderful stay and we were made to feel really welcome by Vicky. We booked the four poster bedroom and we were really impressed with the accommodation and breakfast. Braithwaite Hall is located in a beautiful part of Yorkshire and I really recommend staying there.

A wonderful stay in a beautiful B&B

My wife and I stayed here for her birthday at the beginning of August and we were blown away with the beauty of the house, the generosity of Vicky (the host), and the deliciousness of the breakfast!

We booked the room with the four-poster bed, and it was exceptional. Absolutely ginormous in size, and with beautiful views out over the Dales. We had a fantastic night’s sleep and awoke to a freshly cooked breakfast made with locally-sourced ingredients and accompanied by home-made bread. 

A very special visit for a special occasion and we will certainly be coming back. I can not recommend Braithwaite Hall highly enough!
