One of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. There was a warm welcome from Hazel when we arrived and she kindly made my son and I a coffee with biscuits. The room was large with a comfortable bed, ensuite, coffee and tea, Wi-Fi, a TV and charging point. Unfortunately they do not have any single beds so we had to share but that was a small price to pay. The breakfast was lovely and enjoyed in front of a real log fire. It really was a home from home. Highly recommended.

We found this on booking.com. as we planned to go to Shropshire for a few days.
Beautiful house, very welcoming owners, Hazel was very attentive, comfy bed, clean and roomy room, good breakfast of your choice, very reasonable price. Would highly recommend., 
We also found couple lovely places to eat, The Huntsman and Darcys, great food

Spotless large room with en suite bathroom. I was able to let myself in with own key after being at a party.
Tasty breakfast at a time that suited.

Perfect stay

The place was lovely & welcoming. Lovely friendly host. Room was spotless. Had everything you needed. Even housecoats but we never used them. Had a fan which was great on a muggy night. The bed was comfy. Lovely linen. Great pillows. The breakfast was gorgeous. All freshly made to order. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area again.

The Stanage was as expected. Comfortable and welcoming. Good breakfast. Friendly host's very helpful.  Small sligtly talkative dog next door but not a major issue. Would happily stay here again. Thankyou

Lovely Bed and Breakfast

We were very reluctant to consider a stay anywhere during these difficult times but circumstances forced us into a trip to Wellington. We were so impressed with the Stanage’s website and clear explanation of their Covid precautions and following a telephone call to Hazel we felt very comfortable to book a 2 night stay. Hazel was very welcoming and our room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and all in all we couldn’t fault anything at all. We will definitely return .

Fabulous

I stayed here with my partner as I was in telford for a conference. I didnt want to leave! The stanage made me feel very much at home. The room was cosy, comfortable and everything you could possibly need is provided! Cosy socks, dressing gown, towels, shampoo and conditioner, body lotion, soap, shower gel, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits and more ! Hazel is a wonderful lady, very nice and she made sure we felt right at home. Breakfast was lovely, we came down to the dining room which had a log fire burning and fresh fruit, cereal and drinks available while we waited for our cooked breakfast. I cannot fault a thing and would definitely recommend the stanage. For anyone not keen on staying away from home, stay here as it's impossible to feel home sick in such a cosy and homely b&b. Thanks Hazel! 

Fantastic 

Stayed for 2 nights at the Stanage. Was met by Hazel and her husband who took our cases to our room. Lovely hot drink and biscuits and gluten free biscuits especially for my wife. Room was very comfortable with a quality bed and a good nights sleep. Breakfast was 1st class with a choice of fruit juice, cereals, various cooked, toast and jam and marmalade. Friendly but not intrusive. Would 100% stay again if ever in the area. Thank you for your most kind hospitality. Really appreciated at a difficult time.

2 night stay

The Stanage B&B is lovely and Hazel is so welcoming and friendly.   Spotless room with everything I needed... oh and the breakfast was delicious!!!

If you are heading to Telford and you prefer a smaller, friendlier place to stay, rather than one of the bigger town centre hotels, then I would definitely recommend the Stanage B&B.  It only takes a matter of minutes to get to the centre of Telford by car, and is excellent value for money.

Excellent

We normally stay at hotels, and I'm generally not a B&B sort of visitor, but The Stanage has changed my opinion. The welcome was excellent from the owner, who bought a tray, of very welcome hot drinks on our arrival. The room was of a good size and had all you might expect - TV, tea/coffee making facility, easy chairs. Okay the bathroom wasn't huge, but was more than adequate - shower etc and big soft towels. Breakfast was superb - full English done perfectly and quality dry cured bacon. The situation is ideal for Telford , Ironbridge and the various museums in the area. Clean, comfortable and great customer service, sadly lacking in most establishments, what more would you want?
