This place was tough to find even with GPS. No signage. Owner came out to greet us just as we had given up hope. Tiny and tidy place he built himself. Very comfortable bed, but no AC so the room didn’t cool down until late. Steep narrow stairs to our room. Very relaxing place to stay, though. Sitting room downstairs plus a delightful patio. Good break from standard hotels. Room was nice but small, no closet, but had a mini fridge. 

Great and not so great

This modern "bed and breakfast" combines the best of a separate motel room with the care of a bed and breakfast.  Our room was in a separate building with its own sitting/bar area.  The room itself was very nice, with high quality linens, towels, etc., a microwave, coffee maker with coffee, and a refrigerator.  Nice bathroom although not huge.
We had a substantial continental breakfast laid out for us in the morning and snacks and fruit offered for us to take on our trips to the park.
The facility  is about 18 miles to the park (like almost every other place on the south side of Crater Lake).  The trip to the park is easy.
The only negative is that the Inn is on a dirt road about 1/4 mile off of the paved roads.  
The owners were very friendly and helpful.  We had a delightful time.

Great accommodations near Crater Lake National Park

I arrived at 10pm on the unlit dirt roads.  There is no signage or lighting outside the place at all.  I had to check and double check the address, rolled into the driveway where about 100yds in there is an unlit sign.   Everything was dark.   I went to one of the buildings and knocked... no answer.   Called the place twice.  no answer.   Knocked again, then finally opened the door and called inside.  Nothing.    Eventually started knocking on doors only to disturb one of the guests who finally confirmed that it was indeed a "hotel" and that the owner was in the other building.    knocked on that door.  no answer.   then opened the door (it was already ajar) and said "hello?" only to have a man yell at me "THIS IS A PRIVATE RESIDENCE!!!"   So now I'm completely baffled.    

Stand there for a few seconds wondering what to do, and then recheck my reservation online.    Open the door again and said "excuse me sir, i have a reservation."  he comes out flustered and says, "we don't have a reservation for you... what's your name??"  I show him the reservation confirmation and he states it isn't on his books and grumbles that he doesn't think he's going to get paid for it.   

When I finally said that i just needed a place to crash, he offered me an empty room (which was nice enough).   

Seriously though, how can you possibly want to run a place of hospitality and treat people like that?

Poor poor experience

After leaving crater lake it took us about 45 minutes to get the the b&b, which we didn't mind as many of the closer motels did not look appealing! 
You do have to drive about 1.6 miles along a dirt road but it's well maintained and there are lots of houses on route.
When we got there about 5.30, we were met straight away. We were given lots of information on the area including food and things to do. (Go to the Mexican)
The accommodation is a 3 bedroom house which is lovely and the gardens are beautiful. There is a bbq outside which you can use. We originally were given the downstairs room which connects to a massive shower and sauna but we decided to move up stairs to a similar sized room. 
Now the wifi isn't great at this place if you are dependent on it but we were more than happy without it. Comfortable bed. Fridge and microwave in room and tv which plays DVDs with a good selection and complimentary popcorn. Breakfast included cereals, fruit and breads and was plenty for us.
Would stay again 

Comfortable b&b with lovely garden 

We spent a lovely couple of days staying at the Crater Lake Inn whilst visiting Crater Lake. It's a 40ish minute drive to the Lake but worth it for the quality of the Inn. 

We had a lovely room with a great comfortable bed, microwave and fridge - as well as a to and dvd player so we could take advantage of the large selection of movies available to watch after a long day hiking and swimming at the lake.

Breakfast was lighter than in some of the other places we've stayed but this was welcome. There was a great range of yogurts, granola, fruit and breads available so we were very happy. All in all, our hosts couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant, they really made us feel welcome.

Personal and comfortable 

Go there without hesitation, the place is very pleasant lost in the middle of nature 40 minutes from Crater Lake, the owner is very welcoming without being invasive. The room has all the comforts (microwave, refrigerator, fan, special mention for popcorn and DVDs available, tres appreciative) The breakfast was complete, varied. The exterior layout is being made, very nice!
