A charming house perfectly equipped to accommodate 11 friends. impeccable cleanliness and pleasant hospitality. The common areas are spacious, the rooms are all different. The garden with barbecue is pleasant, large table and outdoor living room on the terrace.

An Address to Remember

This house is under a municipal decree prohibiting renting it to groups. despite this every weekend noise disturbances invade the neighborhood preventing the neighbors from living just normally but the owner Michael Kerveillant has nothing to do and contained his lucrative business without any respect for the locals, and since he does not live on the site, he is crazy...... the gendarmerie intervenes almost every weekend to stop the disturbances... It has been going on for more than 7 years...

It's hell.

We did not manage to stay at Mikes lovely Chateau La Sucerie. With the global Corona pandemic as we felt it unsafe to travel with our 4 young children and elderly mother in law. We cancelled our trip which was planned for March 31st in end of February after reports of Corona spreading through Italy and France. Subsequently to our cancellation Air France cancelled our flights and South Africa our Country was put on National lovkdown with ALL air travel revoked. We have been on National lockdown now for almost 7 weeks. Mike intially promised to refund us in full despite his strict policy on airbnb, but renaged on his offer and subsequently refused to answer our messages. We cannot fault Mikes accomodation as his reviews have been great, but his moral ethics have been questionable and especially within this Corona crisis. To lose more than $2500 in a time of crises on an accomodation that could never have been, is trully not fair. Mike after agreeing to a full refund, did not even respond to my further messages on sharing the losses for both of us. In light of his lack of integrity I would be cautious on making a booking with him under trying times. Take care and stay safe.

This bed and breakfast was absolutely beautiful. The Owner Mike was always warm and helpful. The wedding we were in was held just outside in the front garden. It was all the bride wanted. A week of festivities and love bloomed at this awesome place. Wonderful place to stay.

Very nice property and very well received, suite room with very nice and spacious bathtub, very generous breakfast, a grade of four because the bathroom didn't go to our great despair.

This guest house benefits from all the comforts, spacious rooms and very beautiful decoration; corresponds more to a stay of several days than for a pass; it is a pity that my reservation was forgotten, but the reception has quickly forgotten this forgotten

Packed for all the good reviews, we expected better... accommodated in the suite The Twins- very limited, cold reception, the host speaks little French and does not communicate. We always wonder if it was the owner or an employee. Suite beautiful and well decorated and very clean but with a few disadvantages nonetheless: bad sound, noisy, the doors close very badly because they are old, handles hard to open and close, in the SDB the faucet leaked (table underneath) and the very old shower was working very badly.

Charming accommodation, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, generous breakfast, everything is done to make the stay comfortable and pleasant. Ideal for a WE with family or friends and having rented the entire accommodation.

The perfect place for a WE with friends

2 families;10 people 4 nights between Christmas and New Year.
Rented the whole house which was perfect for us.
Really pretty outside in a rural location surprisingly close to Paris.
We lived and chilled in the living room which was really relaxing and used 6 bedrooms.
Bathrooms and toilets probably let the house down a bit and would have been "challenging" if we didn't have sole use.
Kitchen fine for cooking (not for hanging) and lovely big farmhouse table for eating in conservatory.
Mike's staff made continental breakfast every day and unpacked dishwashers etc.
What makes a good review? Don't know but we really liked the property and would go back to La Sucrerie and between 4 adults and 6 teenagers didn't find much to moan about.

Our own Country House!

In the spirit of our stage, a family of 12 people, this place was really great. Be careful if you're traveling as a couple or in partial room reservation because the house may be noisy and the bathroom of the second is common to the whole level (caed 4 rooms). We had two 10-year-old children who occupied the attic room; to our surprise, this room gives a view through small windows to the whole family room from the bottom floor... Very comical for children, except for parents; about this, if you find frames placed in front of these windows to avoid being spied on, it's us!-) We have a family dinner table, very nice and very comfortable with no confessions for later lunches and lunchtime...) But we've always had a very convenient place to stay in the house.
