This hotel is simple and pleasant. The restaurant is of good quality. The breakfast offers a small balanced and quality choice. Good relationship with the staff who are listening to you and with a smile.

Very good contact with staff

Nice reception by staff. Clean and spacious quiet room with convenient access. Good bedding lacks extra pillows and dry hair.

The right room for one night

Simple hotel - proper room (It's old country for those who know the chain.) No dry hair in the room, damage. Very simple, comparable to a first class, bb hotel where the same kind.

For one night's work

When making an objective assessment of a hotel, we must never forget to take into account the price paid for staying in this establishment. And at the Best Hotel de Mayenne the quality/price ratio is excellent. The room is spacious, the quality bedding and the bathroom, with Italian shower, is functional and very well maintained. The whole thing is very clean. The parking is closed at night. We did not enjoy breakfast or dinner at the restaurant. However, we found that the reception was particularly warm and professional and that the slightest concern (heating) was taken into account very immediately and then repaired in the instantaneous exchange. So, of course, this hotel is not located in the commercial area, but it does not become the norm for these establishments to sleep in, and then it becomes the standard for these commercial areas.

All right, all right.

Wife and I stayed 3 nights as part of group weekend in Mayenne. Rooms are basic but clean and good enough; lino floor, bed firm but comfortable though only two lumpy pillows. Our room was rear ground floor which remained lovely and cool all day despite the intense 30+ degrees C heat every day. Large walk in shower but only one towel each - not great when you need a shower morning and evening after the heat.
Decent breakfast; usual continental stuff with rolls, croissants, jam, cheese, ham etc but also bacon, scrambled and boiled eggs. Staff were very welcoming and helpful - happy to find me some decaf each morning. Coffee ,tea and juice plentiful.
No bar as such but 2 beers on tap and indoor (breakfast room) and outdoor seating. We had a set meal on the first evening for about 30 people which was excellent. 

Clean, functional, great staff

We were given a warm welcome but unfortunately the restaurant was closed on a Sunday evening. The room was fine and the beds comfortable. As it turned out, the position (our of town) turned out to be helpful, chiefly because there was a bad problem with one of the cycles. This was resolved thanks to a welder whose work-shop was a short ride away from the hotel. There was a cycle shop  nearby too (Giant) but being a Monday, this was closed. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We were able to store our cycles in a secure room in the main part of the hotel. We felt that we had received good value for money. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

 · We arrived at this motel on a Sunday evening to find that the restaurant was closed. After cycling a long distance, this was disappointing - the only place within walking distance was a McDonalds which we then ate in our room. This made the experience less than great.

Good motel on the edge of town - too far from the centre to walk into town to see the sights.

We spent the night in this hotel. Everything went well, the bed is nice. You notice that there was some cooling work recently especially in the water room. A little bemool on the cleaning. There were traces of baby hands on the mirror, otherwise the rest was clean.

Good hotel.

Nice room, easy access compared to the parking lot, good price, nice breakfast, a pity the restaurant is closed on weekends, a quiet area a little out of town.

Checkin took a while. Our card didn't open our room door, we had to go back to reception to get access. The guy wasn't able to sort us out with a working card. We drove into Mayenne to get dinner. When we got back the night guard had to let us into our room again. He'd been informed by the previous shift (I made sure before we left). Apart from that the room was functional for the price.
It was a real shame that our room was one of the furthest away from reception. The staff were all really polite and apologetic about our situation. It wasn't their fault. They didn't offer us free breakfast though!

Functional

It's a charming hotel, but it's fine for a night, no air conditioning for a 3-* but it's soundproof, but it's more like a motel, nice, personal, welcoming lunches.
