We loved our four nights at the Chambres d'Hotes Les Bourdeaux just outside the lovely bastide village of Montflanquin in the Lot-et-Garonne..  A beautiful old farmhouse has been carefully renovated by owners, Rob and Jacqueline, to provide 3 guest rooms.  The grounds are extensive and peaceful with great views and there is a terrific swimming pool, for the use of the guests.  An entirely satisfactory breakfast is provided by one or other of the hosts each morning between 8.00 - 10.00 am and when the weather permits eaten outside in the sun.  We found our time there relaxing and restorative.  Our large calm room, Sancerre, like one of the other 2 opened onto a ground floor terrace, had an enormous en suite bathroom with shower.  A third room was up a short flight of outside steps.  There was also an extraordinarily well stocked library and sitting room with television for the exclusive use of guests.  Highly recommended.

A real find

We have just returned from our stay in France at Chambers d'notes Les Bourdeaux.
Rob and Jacqueline were absolutely fantastic, from a welcome email they sent us to say that the room would be available in the morning and we could make ourselves comfortable as soon as we had arrived in the area, to leaving the hotel and again telling us not to rush and leave but to relax and leave when we were ready.
We were going to a Wedding in the area, Jacqueline gave us a map with directions to the venue, and also a map with French instructions for our bus/ taxi driver to drop us off.
We had breakfast in the morning on the terrace/veranda of the hotel, a lovely and fresh continental breakfast, a perfect start to the day.
Our room was very large (Sancere) the shower was never without hot water and also the wifi was very strong and fast.
Thank you once again for a relaxed, friendly stay.

Relaxed and friendly stay

3 nights in this beautiful place, perfect home, our very large and comfortable room, lavish breakfast, swimming pool... therefore recommended, and this for a correct price of 95€ including breakfast.

It's a very nice place.

We stayed at Les Bourdeaux in May this year. Jacqueline and Rob run a very professional Chambre d'Hotes. The room was huge, beautifully clean and has it's own entrance. We went for a lovely walk from Les Bourdeaux to Monflanquin through lovely countryside. The breakfasts were exceptional. Everyday we lunched out at a restaurant and had a picnic in the loggia in the evening. Jacqueline and Rod are very accommodating and know a lot about the local area. Thank you so much.

Wonderful!

Since you get closer to the place, you are predicted to be charming, and although it is isolated, there are indications on all the crossroads and on the web that explain very well how to get there. If you see it from the beginning, you will go to a place where the details are taken care of. And so on. A charming, very kind couple, who speak perfectly English, will welcome you very kindly and take you to an area of the house with your own key, with which you have independence. The house is very beautiful, the garden and the environment are very beautiful and very green, and with a very clean swimming pool. There is also a garden chess area. However, they can get you to feel very comfortable in the house and have a feeling of tranquility and tranquility. The room is very large, very limited, accommodating and full of laundry facilities, in addition to a very nice and well done area of the house.

Excellent in all aspects.

Les Bourdeaux is located in a rolling landscape offering wide views all around. Sitting at the swimming pool you can easily see the nearby bastide town of Monflanquin. 
The rooms are part of the main house which is a restored stone farmhouse (I assume). We stayed in the Champgane room which is the only room to have twin beds. The room is very spacious withs a wooden floor and walls painted in light colours. The bathroom is also very spacious and offers a good sized shower cabin, a full bath and the toilet. Be very careful when entering the bathroom as there is a short step immediately after the bathroom door. Especially in the dark this is something to be very aware of. 
Wifi in the room is very good. Breakfast is ample with croissants, baguette, yoghurt, fruit juice, cheese and sliced cold meat. The (sunheated) swimming pool is excellent, good size with comfortable chairs around it and offering scenic views whilst at the same time providing sufficient privacy.
The owners are a Dutch couple. We didn't see Rob, who has his own business and was out during the day. But Jacqueline provided us with all we needed. Amenable to talk but making sure she doesn't intrude.
The only improvement I would recommend concerns the mattresses. These lie on a slatted bed base, are about 10 cms thick and consist of a soft material (foam rubber I assume). Personally I  prefer a mattress with somewhat more substance.

Quiet and comfortable

We recently stayed 3 nights at this lovely Chambres d'hotes and were made very welcome with Jacqueline and Rob.  Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was very good and taken out on the terrace.  A very nice pool with country views.  

Places to visit was provided in the form of a booklet which was very informative.

We will certainly be visiting here again - highly recommended..

Great place to stay

Our guest's personalized welcome, we will welcome you as soon as you arrive at the parking lot! Our room was very spacious, bright and comfortable. It had a private entrance and a private terrace, which was highly appreciated. The interior was equally charming. The whole house, a beautifully restored old building, is quite charming. The environment is very quiet. Breakfast (delicious and full) is served outdoors if it is good, with the birds singing. We also noticed that the room and the SDB are both suitable for accommodation for people with reduced mobility, which is rare for a single room.

Very charming guest rooms

We had just stayed in Bourgeois and I have to say we loved it. We were going to Monflanquin to see family and look for a place that was quite close and not too expensive. We liked it a lot and we were very well received by Rob and Jacqueline (who spoke very well English, Dutch and French). They know the area very well and have contacts with local restaurants and other sites. Our (double) room was very spacious, clean and intimate. It had its own large access. There was also a good Wi-Fi service that was free (a strong point). Breakfast was very good and allowed us to start our day of visiting. I highly recommend Bourgeois and we would definitely return to play there. This place would be perfect for families, travelers and those who would like to stay on board, and you would have something nice to do, if you wanted to stay in the ice cream room or something.

Excellent value for money, wonderful place, great people.

We spent one night in the very nice Sancerre room with a beautiful view of Monflanquin. Very warm welcome by the owners. We were served a delicious breakfast. A good address to keep. The only small disadvantage is to be equipped with a GPS to find the place or to have a state map. The place deserves...
