We spent a week with three adults and a 12-year-old boy at the Casa de Campo which this year offers this accommodation as a novelty and has been a gift in every sense. The house meets all the conditions for a luxurious stay, with all the details in equipment and a decoration that makes it very special. The attention of the hosts cannot be more exquisite. We were greeted with a series of products for a tasty dinner and a delicious breakfast. The views at sunset while a dinner after a bath in the jacuzzi is the most for a dreamlike adventure. The surroundings are also a small paradise, holiday in time, nature, medieval villages and silence. But at the same time you are close to all the sights in the area. Thomas Kerry is concerned about the best restaurants and restaurants in the area.

I want to see you again...

We booked Beaux Reves pre-covid and finally, after all the lockdowns, we got to go in July 2022 (2 adults & 2 young teenage children). Kerry & Tomas kindly kept our booking slot open throughout the covid period, which is says a lot about how this couple run their business and treat their guests.
The villa is very clean (credit to their cleaner/s), comfortable, very well maintained and based in a beautiful and peaceful location.
Kerry gave us a full brief on the area and the best places to visit and eat during our stay but then left us alone to enjoy our holiday.
We would highly recommend this villa, it had the pool to keep the kids entertained, a pub/restaurant within 5-10mins walking distance to keep me entertained and plenty of sights within a max 30min drive.
Tip: DO NOT BE LATE for the Lascaux iv cave tour if you have booked a British guide, we arrived 15 mins late (I know...our fault) and we had to join the next French tour which was v frustrating for a non-french speaker.
Tip: Canoe the Dordogne (you can be late for this...), we chose Canoe Loisirs for canoe hire, the 3 hour trip from Vitrac to Beynac took 4-5 hours with stops. You can pull up your canoe on the jetty and visit La Roque Gageac, most people missed this and sat on the bank opposite.
Tip: When walking around Sarlat, get yourself off the main Rue de la Republique and check out the side streets for a more interesting and less busy time.

Worth the wait...

We have booked with Kerry and Thomas twice now, both as a large group, with friends from our home town in Chamonix. It was on both occasions fabulous, with Kerry and Thomas making sure we visited the best markets, ate at the best places, shopped in the right towns and of course explored the ever lasting list of places and activities. We tempted them to take the day off so we could all go canoeing.Never a dull moment, too many things to do, you'll need to keep going back to them to get through them all!!! However if you opt to have a day back in the gorgeous lavish home, as I did, there is the pool and grounds to enjoy and flat and hilly routes for the road bikers amongst us. We all have teen-age children, and not once did I hear the words "I'm bored" that in itself is a perfect holiday! We hoped to book again for this year, but we'll have to wait and see what happens with restrictions of Covid. There is not enough space to gush... Love Love Love !!!

My daughter's favorite holiday destination!

We stayed at Charmes de Carlucet with a group of friends. First of all, we were very warmly welcomed by Kerry and Thomas with many marks of attention to make our stay very pleasant. And it really was. The calm and green setting is beautiful. This spacious mansion is tastefully decorated, comfortable rooms, hyper equipped kitchen, very cozy living room. We visited this beautiful region of France with many sites worth visiting. We will return to enjoy the outdoors and the swimming pool.

We were 5 friends who spent a few days in this beautiful mansion. Very warm and attentive welcome from the owners Kerry and Thomas Very beautifully furnished and decorated home. A professional kitchen where nothing is lacking. The rooms are spacious and decorated with great taste. The location of the mansion has allowed us to radiate and visit many sites and villages. One regret: the period of our stay has not allowed us to enjoy the beautiful garden and its swimming pool. This will be done during the next stay in the season. Recommend.

A wonderful stay in October

The Charms of Carlucet are well known! We were five friends and spent four idyllic days in this very beautiful, very well-arranged, very comfortable house. Nothing was missing. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated. The living room was very nice, the kitchen was very functional. In short, a quality house. Besides, the owners were charming, very hospitable. We were able to visit a lot of places, because, although it is located in a small village, we are close to many sites. Very nice to stay.

Staying out of season in a house full of seals!

We, a group of 9 people, spent 5 nights at this beautiful 5 star Manor House.  The property is a real paradise with 6 tastefully decorated rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a fire place, a huge garden with recreational facilities & a big heated pool.  
Kerry, Thomas & their beautiful daughter, Evie are the nicest & thoughtful holiday owners we have ever met.  They left us milk, yogurt & wine in the fridge.   Spices & everything you need for cooking in the kitchen.  Thomas helped us to stock up wood for the fireplace.  Kerry even ran off to the post office to catch the Friday delivery deadline to mail back a jacket that my friend left behind to our next holiday home in Beaune.   We feel like living in our good friend’s home rather a short term holiday home.  Will definitely go back!

5 star mansion with 5 star hospitality!

We arrived to a warm welcome from our hosts Tomas and Kerry who had thoughtfully provided a welcome pack of food and wine to tide us over until the next day. The villa is beautifully laid out and furnished and the outside areas, views and village setting are delightful. We can't speak highly enough of Kerry and Tomas - they recommended local restaurants and made the bookings for us, suggested places to visit (and helped us to hire the bikes to get there!) and made our holiday extra special.

Wonderful week at Beaux Reves villa

This holiday was a very special combination of an excellent photography course run by Mairi Thomas and absolutely wonderful accommodation in a stunningly beautiful part of France. Mairi is an exceptionally skilled photographer and teacher and I can honestly say, is one of the nicest people I have ever met. So grateful to have met her and learned so much in a very short period of time.
 Every need was more than catered for by our wonderful hosts, Tomas and Kerry and they made us feel very welcome indeed, in their beautiful home.The bedrooms were more than comfortable and we were treated to delicious home cooked food at every meal, lovingly cooked by Tomas.....certainly not a week conducive to weight loss! Kerry very kindly provided transport to and from the train station on arrival and departure and drove us around to every spot of interest including Sarlat, Domme, Beynac and quite a few more. 
All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I would sincerely recommend it to anyone interested in photography or even as a base to travel around the region.

Amazing Photography Holiday

It’s hard for me to adequately describe how much I enjoyed my week at Les Charmes. I can only say that I loved every single minute of my stay! Tomas and Kerry are wonderful hosts, and go above and beyond what is required to make a stay with them perfect! I couldn’t fault the food, which was plentiful and beautifully prepared by Tomas, and served in the lovely sunny dining room next to the pool. I stayed in ‘Beynac’ and loved my room! (All the rooms are named after some of the beautiful nearby villages in the Dordogne Sarlat, Domme, Beynac...) Les Charmes is situated within easy reach of some very picturesque villages, and we visited many of them as part of the photography course. Huge praise also to Mairi, who is a patient and knowledgeable teacher, as well as being great fun! She made the week so enjoyable for us all. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a visit to Les Charmes, especially if it is for a photography course.
