What a lovely place to stay - thank you Anne-Lise and Philippe!  

We stayed here on our way back to the UK from the south of France, and after a very long day in the car this was the perfect tonic.

After parking up in the secure parking Anne-Lise showed us around the hotel which is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean.  There is a lovely pool area, communal lounge area where breakfast is also served, and billiard table upstairs.

Our room was spacious and had an extremely comfortable bed (the best night’s sleep of our trip).  There were also lovely touches such as aromatherapy pods  for the shower.

The evening we stayed (a Wednesday) is one of the nights the Table d’hote isn’t available but Anne-Lise made a meat and cheese plate for us which was delicious!  

Breakfast was great!  Fruit, homemade granola, croissant, bread, and eggs made to order.  

We really enjoyed our stay and will be back I’m sure.  Thank you!


Lovely hotel, great location near Troyes

This guest house is a real gem.  Tastefully decorated, beautifully maintained. very comfortable and expertly managed by Anne-Lise and Philippe who are welcoming beyond words. They clearly take great care and pride in making their guests feel at home.  The breakfast and table d'hote meals were first class.  Although this is a perfectly  placed stopover if heading for the Riviera or the Alps, it is far more than that and our only regret is that we were not staying for longer than one night and we would have loved to stayed for longer.  Next time we will.

A real gem

2nd stay in this very beautiful and always so magical place! The hosts are really friendly and listening to the guests. We spent 3 nights in the romantic room, beautiful! Everything is high quality from the bedding to the meals (made at home) to the heated swimming pool, etc... a whole service panel (bikes, billiards for example).

I went back to Villechétif. I went there for the first time last year unfortunately for one night, leaving this couple and their wonderful home, I had only one desire was to go back, something I did a year later and it was FA-BU-LEUX. I stayed there for three nights to celebrate my birthday with my friends who came back to Paris enchanted, under the charm, I don't have the words. Everything was fine, we privatized the 5 bedrooms I could see them all, they are all at the top, pleasant, full of charm. Our rooms were perfect, discreet, of a zenitude. Almost nothing seems impossible for them, to ask each hotel with its answer and every time I'm going to conclude my experience with EXTION EXTION.

It's fabulous.

The guest rooms are on the first floor and are quite spacious. The bathroom could have been a little bigger, but since it is an older house, which was renovated or converted quite extensively a few years ago, there was probably no other option. The hosts serve a great breakfast and then one evening we tested Anne-Lise's cooking skills and we can also recommend this to everyone. Better to eat in a restaurant, surely not. Bicycles are provided free of charge, which due to the rainy painting is not considered and unfortunately for the reason we also did not have to use the beautiful pool... maybe we can bet on the next one.

Absolutely recommended

3 days, 3 nights in the Baroque half-boarded room. What if it's not a very pleasant stay. Very good atmosphere with Anne-Lise and Philippe never lacking good advice. Perfect room and sdb. Small always local menus with, svp, morning and evening dining services. Nothing to do with the unattractive services of hotels. Parking, free Wifi and a dream pool with the comfort of a 5 star. Very quiet place and close to the motorways and places to visit like Troyes, Outreflet Factory etc...Bref, a stay that calls it another. At any rate a real pleasure in a really pleasant place from all points of view of André and Françoise Belgium.

What a great place to stop over or stay for a few days. Philippe and Anne-Lise are the most charming and attentive hosts without being in any way intrusive - a great act. The Villa and rooms are spotless and well equipped. We enjoyed the most amazing dinner cooked by our hosts and served on tables around the swimming pool. Very good local champagne and wines available and then, to top it all, after a really good night’s sleep on a very comfortable bed with lovely linen and pillows, a fantastic breakfast. Delighted we stayed there on our way back from Cap Ferrat. We will definitely be back.

A delight just outside Troyes

We look for small dog friendly properties with private parking on our frequent trips from Eurotunnel on to Ancona for the ferry to Greece.  Gourmet food too, ideally.

This was a real find; easy to find and moments from the main drag towards Mt Blanc tunnel.  Delightful, professional hosting in an immaculate property.  

Both the evening meal with superb wines and the breakfast with home made preserves were exceptional.  The champagne from a small local house was exquisite to the extent that we bought bottles as gifts for wine lover friends.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Spain. It was a spare  of the moment decision, as we wanted somewhere to stop that wasn’t too far off the motorway. What a pleasant surprise.  The place was lovely, our room was decorated beautifully and was very spacious. There was everything in the room that we needed even hair straighteners which came in very handy. The breakfast was amazing and the couple that own it were very friendly. We will definitely be stopping here on our way back to the uk … an excellent stopover .

This is one of the best chambres d’hotes that we have stayed in.  The owners are charming , welcoming and attentive. The decor is delightful with a relaxed ambience. We had a lovely supper cooked fresh by our hosts. This was accompanied by a local champagne and a fabulous Chablis. Breakfast was freshly prepared and also delicious with a focus on local produce. We will try to come again and will also recommend you to friends . Thank you.
