What's written in the negative reviews is true. The question is how to deal with it. Living in the center of the island in an authentic, almost five-hundred-year-old vault - which could be better! Yes, the ceilings are low and the floor is slightly sloping, indeed, the toilet is open right across the entrance door. But how great it is! The tea, the capsule coffee machine, the TV, the good water pressure in the shower, clean towels, the loud Wi-Fi, the great heating, the own key to the entrance door! Suzanne is remarkable, she was always on the line, ready to give us any assistance, brought us the second key, congratulated us on New Year's Eve.

Unfortunately, the pictures published had made us expect more. For a stay of several days, the room is too small. There is not even a chair available. A toilet right in the entrance area - without any visual protection. You enter the room virtually through the bathroom. There must be another solution. Open cable cans and a very windshield-mounted (and not sorted) TV show that little effort is required to make a lot of money here. Unfortunately, price and performance do not match at the end.

Not what we expected

Zuzana is a kind and welcoming person. Always available. We have also agreed to check in in early. Room friendly and clean. Tea boiler and coffee machine present. Towels available. Central location on the island. I would love to come back for another stay. Free parking 5/8 minutes on foot.

This means that the ceilings are low and the door frames are even lower (about 170 cm), but this gives the whole the special flair of this 500-year-old house. But for this it is tastefully modern set up on the typically sloping floor. For us it was a very comfortable stay in one of the rooms. The house is located in the center of the island. In the pedestrian zone. There is no parking space right next to the house, but you get a parking ticket to park within about 5 minutes. For loading and unloading, you can drive but you can stay close to the house. The rooms are regularly restored and there is a typewriter available, which also regularly displays new capsuits (even in a different setting) in a very nice and comfortable atmosphere.

A very special accommodation in a real old building

Our room was like something out of Shakespeare .....Simple, but with the blessing of a kettle for tea & a coffee pod m/c (Something non-existent in most European establishments) . Our shower & toilet facilities were bang up to date , although the toilet pedestal right by the wash basin would have been awkward for someone rather overweight . Our hostess Zuzana was very attentive , and gave us cards for a discount on breakfast at a local cafe .  For our 4 days there , on a beautiful place by the Bodensee it was perfect for us . Note :- cash payment only , as no credit card facility.
