This hotel does not have a classical format. First of all there is no sign indicating where the hotel is. Actually you should enter a jewellery shop to reach the hotel. I do not remember the name of the shop. There is a very little elevator which two persons can barely get in and a very narrow stairway behind the counter. These are the only two ways to reach the rooms which are on the upper floors of the jewellery shop. When you reach the rooms, there is another surprise waiting for you. The door of the elevator opens into the room :) But don't worry there is a key which locks the door from both sides so no one can open your door even if they stop at your floor. There is also a "normal" door at the end of the stairway in case of you may not use elevator. The last surprise for you is the owner of the shop gives you the keys of the shop. So you can reach your room even if you come back late at night. But don't forget to lock the door from behind :)

In spite of all these weird things, the rooms are well decorated, the bed is comfy and the staff is kind and helpfull.

Weird but not bad

Very small, very noisy and broken or unavailable accessories, like WIFI (in the morning) - PHON-CASSAFORTE. The cleanliness of the rooms is very poor... the guy at the reception was very kind and available, he also solved a small problem, the location is perfect for visiting this beautiful city.

Position is OK!

Highlights: - Hotel location: ideal location next to small streets and tram and bus stations. - Very comfortable bed. Weak points: - No sign of the hotel on the façade. The reception is small, black and lightless, the least welcoming possible. The receptionist is nicked to a height behind his desk. The receptionist has only 2 to 3 hours a day - no guard. - Access to the rooms is either by stairs (very narrow, even the smallest ones must go down) or by elevator (also very narrow, giving access to the rooms without having a code: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Running away...

We stayed here for 3 nights, the owner waited until 2am because the flight was late, the room was clean, the area was busy in the evening but good location for tapas clubs.

What a lovely living room.

In a good position, with the metro stop two steps away... uncleaned rooms, tiny bathroom... ghost staff, you had to call the hotel number so they could show up at the reception.

Central but not clean

It is located in the modern district of Born, opposite the metro station Jaume.Modern air-conditioned rooms and Wi-Fi are available.

Other machinery

Uncertain about the evaluation... we start from the positive aspects: location/staff/wifi!Hotel located near the Ramblas/Porto/Plaza Catalunya..and above all stop meter 50 meters from the hotel! The Staff proved very kind and available....! The room is really small, with the bathroom size camper located in the middle..the rooms are accessed via the elevator that comes 3 meters from the bed..so during the night you will hear the elevator noise coming down and up... besides the rooms are absolutely not soundproofed and you will also hear the conversations of the neighbors in the room..so if you have light sleep (it is not my case) avoid! price was relatively high as it was the week of a famous festival..s are sure that in a normal period you can find a better offer

Small and noisy but well positioned

More like Cell Barcelona. I guess you pay for what you get. Hotel was tiny and rooms were not really that clean. Friendly staff though and left our bags there until 8pm without any issue. SUPER Location so that counted for a lot but really wont be back. 

Hint in the name

I strongly recommend this hotel!!! The location is top! But the tiny, dirty rooms, with a view of a wall! Room in the dark! The bathroom is full of mold, hair everywhere, and for four days we have never seen anyone else but to give us the keys, housekeeping has never been done for four days! Ps: our room is the A1. Which looks directly on the elevator.. Comic! The description of the hotel makes us feel.. Café the biscuit fruit.. We only had coffee and no cup! Let's run!!!!!!!!!

Get out of here!

Lovely old building with roof terrace. I always visit at least twice when in Barcelona.
Try the calamari and ham. It's open lunch through to the evening. Great for drinks and tapas. Can't wait to return again soon
