I was with my friends for 4 nights. Of course in friendship and everything is always better and you don't feel the weight of it. But if I have to talk about bad cleaning. They didn't change towels and sheets. The room is a hole where nothing works, the bathroom is dirty and you have a cabin closet inside hahahahah! But the clientele is very quiet. In fact, we felt only us. The most beautiful thing of all is the location, five minutes on foot (very nice walk) and it goes right out to Puerta del Sol. One of the most beautiful squares in all of Madrid. The price is fair. So much you spend.

Perfect location, just that.

I stayed with my partner for three nights and the truth is that the first impression was not very good, we basically just wanted it to sleep so we didn't care much.

 Fair but economical.

This hostel is great because it is located in the area of Puerta del Sol, a 5-minute walk and a quiet enough area to explore on foot even at night. The girl who welcomed us showed herself immediately available by helping us with our luggage and showing us the house. The kitchen is shared with all the residents and there are 4 or 5 double (or triple) rooms all with a personal shower and bathroom, plus an external bathroom (very clean and always clean) for anyone to use. The wifi is free and there is also a pc station, free of charge this one. They always found the room fitted to the back and towels cleaned every night.

Disappointing

We were with my lady last June, the central and clean place offers wifi, but this one never arrived, as it seems due to technical problems.Also at night there were a lot of women loose (complicated to spend with your family)

It's cheap, but...

The bathroom was very large (though compartmented) but dirty, there was the dirty carpet towel from one day to the next, when a new one had been installed. The drawer and dirty in a corner. They make the bed, yes, but they don't wash. The sheets were dirty, but they don't change them. They make the bed with those stains in the middle. At 6 a.m. groups of people screaming in the hallway. No one was heard criticizing it. It has a kitchen, which we enjoyed very well.

Hostal justito

The hostel was very disappointing. I was expecting a shower and a basin in the room but had to use a separate bathroom instead. The bathroom had no soap at all. The only thing I was pleased with was the bed itself. The rest was extremely different from what I had expected.

The lady in reception was friendly but the hostel as a whole is rather depressing. 
      

my opinion

When you enter the reception an old smell that pulls back, the paint on the wall falls to pieces, the horrible mattress in which to sleep you need to fit with the floating mules (must be at least 20 years old), the window has a glass that is made of paper cigarettes and the street is full of glass bars that close at 4 pm, meaning that until 4 pm it is impossible to sleep. The wall has a large hole that has been badly painted with mas tapilla, poor decoration, nightmare. I wouldn't repeat anything in the world!!!!!

It's a shame it was only one night.

Our reservation was for a room with the bathroom in the room, but instead we found ourselves with the bathroom in the common room, a very small room, with a window, from which came strange smells, with the exhaust pipes that reminded us that the neighbor was doing his needs.

Just for the location.

Clean, but NOISY, damn noisy. 
Don't expect to sleep at all: beside the fact that the 2 buildings in front of our room were being renovated (and I mean with heavy duty pneumatic hammers starting at 7:30 AM), the window nor the blind were not closing, leaving the heavy night traffic, party goers, garbage trucks, scooters, music from nearby pubs and discos entertain your sleeping hours.
The walls are also extremely thin, allowing you to hear the sex life of your neigbours and the fights in the lobby. Also when your neighbor is showering, the pipes make an extreme noise waking you up in the middle of the night.
The mattress adds that special shiatsu massage, since you will be able to feel every single spring.
Unfortunately nobody in the hotel can speak English, so getting another room was unthinkable.
On the positive side it was very cheap, 25 euro per night per double room, in the center and with a big fully equipped kitchen.
