Since we just wanted to be just in time to sleep and that it was central, this place covered it.It's in a third without an elevator and the reception in another hotel, the rooms are fair and with shared bathroom.I guess if you're in Camino de Santiago mode it might be worth it.

One cheap night.

It's an all-rounder, a 3° without an elevator, a rose, no television. I'm sorry to have to give such a negative opinion, I hope at least it helps the owners to realize that they're NOT on the right track with this direction. For me, I had to go check in at the hotel duques de Nájera and the lady who did it was not very pleasant.

An antro is an antro.

This hostel is a block from the Camino and within 3 blocks of the beautiful Monastery and close to many restaurants.  We had a private double room and shared a bath with others. There were two bathrooms with showers for about 8+ rooms. The room was very modest with limited lighting and a window high up. However, we slept well. There is a communal kitchen plus washing machine. To register and get our key we had to go to a hotel around the corner. The rooms are in the 3rd floor -actually climbing up 4 floors. The rooms and building were secure.

Clean and convenient location wth shared bath

We were staying on the 5th day with four friends doing the Camino de Santiago. We put the laundry in the washing machine and not the centrifuge; we notified the owner and he told us that it was broken. Then put up a sign; what do we do now with the wet clothes? That's your problem. We were to tender it on the prairie by the river and he took us out the cube to take it to the hotel dryer. He had the whole afternoon behind the clothes; I told him to take it up to the room and he said that's too luxurious. When we went to pick it up, we noticed his bad manners and that we were going to give a bad report of the situation and our context I care about three things...  The Italian pension is normal, decorated with muebles, but it's the least of all.

The worst deal ever.

My wife and I stayed in this boutique hotel during our Camino walk in May this year. The hotel is right beside the Camino well situated in the old part of town less than 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral and the tapas bars of Laurel Street. The welcome we received was friendly and informative about the town. There is a breakfast area and above that a small lounge with English and Spanish language books. One of which details the transformation of the building that is the hotel about 5 years ago. Incredible. There are 12 rooms individually designed with all modern cons to a high standard as well as mini bar,ac,wifi,tv with international channels etc. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Great shower. We paid 92 euros for one nights stay and another 12 euro for our two breakfasts. The breakfast was superb with great breads,fresh juices,cereals,cold cheese and meats,Spanish omlettes made for you,as well as fruits and tea and coffee. Well value for money. I recommend this hotel highly. They only have 12 rooms but are building another 24 currently. This does not impact you stay so please don't be concerned. This is a real gem.

Fantastic gem of a hotel for luxurious Camino travellors

Pilgrims, we had booked a normal room advertised with closets, etc. Surprisingly, we had a very small room with no windows except for a tiny, grid-lined loft, inaccessible in height. A small drawer furniture was the only furniture.

It's a mess.

My husband and I stayed at this pension for 1 night. The pension it self is nice enough. However, the rudeness of the staff is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I called before hand to make a reservation and was told the price was 8euro per person (which also corresponds with our accommodation booklet) When we went to pay our 16euros the following morning, we were told that the price was 15euro per person. I tried to explain that the lady I had spoken to had quoted 8euro but the woman on reception would not even listen to me and kept interrupting and screaming. She called the manager, who was equally as rude and they would not let us talk, just kept interrupting and screaming. I asked them to phone the lady I had made a reservation with and they refused, instead telling us they were calling the police. We have never, ever, been treated with such disrespect and i would NEVER recommend this pension or stay there again!!!!

Worst customer service I have ever received

What a fantastic welcome after a really tough walk into Najera on El Camino. Arrived exhausted and the owner gave us such a welcome. Without asking he gave us a room in hotel which was very spacious with lovely big bathroom. Total luxury on the Camino. Still charged us only €36 which was amazing. Strongly recommend this place.
