Just back from these apartments, says it was 2star but not at all everything you need here  close to all facilities lovely clean well equipped rooms and a decent size plus own sunbeds outside your room ,kettles microwave, toaster ,hob and hairdryer,  towels changed 5 days out of 7 ,best apartments I've stayed in lanzarote, only downside slightly hard bed ,would definitely recommend and would stay here again happily, plus lovely cat called missy who will only make time for you if she feels happy

Brilliant

Went for short 4 day break and was disappointed. This is in desperate need of a refurb.
Kitchen cupboards do not close, some of the furniture screwed to fix rather than replacing. Towels were not changed. Bathroom had alot of silicone around it and bath partly painted to hide wear and tear.
We normally go elsewhere for less money but couldn't get book this was a disappointment.  Beds were clean but uncomfortable. Only thing going for it is free WiFi and TV. 

Not impressed

Stayed here from the 15-8-2019 for 7days. Complex has 18 apartments on two floors. Rooms bit tired but nice and clean . Nice pool plenty of sun beds.  Free wifi and free fans should you need one . We had sun on our patio from 11AM till 9.PM  rooms cleaned every other day with clean towels.  Bed linen changed every 3 days. Ten minutes walk to the beach. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would definitely return. 

Apartments teneguia 

Good position not far from the front. But can be very smelly from passing traffic but not a main road did  not bother the wife but got on my nerves Apartments lovely and clean and spacious. Beds are comfy. Small pool area but adequate with loungers. Only down side is the shower the pressure not great. That's why only 3 star would of give a 4 

Not a bad place to be

The quality of the facilities is quite good, it has details that could be improved. The location is good, it is a very quiet area and with nearby parking. The furniture is old but functional. The table is very small but for the time you will use it as much as you like. The beds are a little uncomfortable, the cabinets are spacious. The bathroom is large although the shower has a serious problem with the water pressure, and the system for removing toilet paper is a little uncomfortable. There is a hair dryer. The kitchen has a glass and the dishes are just for the people in the apartment, if you miss some things like a toaster or an exprimer. They have a toaster, microwave, refrigerator and water toaster. They do not provide the dishes.

Normal, free of great luxuries and economical.

Stayed here on two separate occasions, love these apartments.
We got an upstairs apartments both times and love them. They are very spacious and spotless. The balcony is spacious and recently got done up and also get plenty of sun. Maid comes in every second day to clean and change towels. The grounds and pool are always clean and quiet, very safe gated complex. The location is very good as it’s 5 min walk from the main strip plus there is a local shop 30 second walk away.
We also booked these apartments for my girlfriends parents for a week and they couldn’t fault them.
Couldn’t recommend these apartments enough, can’t fault anything about them.

Perfect apartments

Bear in mind this is 2-star and very reasonably priced. Therefore there are small items like mismatched tiles.
However, very clean place & everything worked well. Strong wifi. The apartment was big & had a lovely balcony which got sun most of the day.
Small complex but has a clear blue pool and lots of sun chairs and umbrellas. 
About five minutes walk to the seafront. Loads of bars and restaurants. If you turn left at the seafront, there's a nice small beach for swimming only about 2 minutes away.
There's a restaurant on the way to the front called El Arao (The Plough). We walked past it for days before trying it. It's excellent. No gimmicks. Good food, good prices and really friendly staff.
Overall, Teneguia is great value for money.

Very clean, good location

I was given this holiday as a Christmas present, so I had no say over any of it, but I do love visiting Lanzarote and know it all fairly well. Teneguia was apparently chosen as it was in the favoured resort of Puerto del Carmen and not too far from the main strip in a quiet semi-residential area.

We arrived on Sunday the 27th of January by short taxi ride from the airport. So short I had unpacked within an hour of us landing. That is part of the appeal with choosing to holiday here, your holiday starts straight away. Reception offers limited opening hours but our arrival time was requested in advance so we could be checked in. We met a polite young man who quickly ran through the formalities and issued us with keys to apartment 13 and a free safe key. Access  to the complex is through three different gates. The one nearest reception has a full flight of stairs to the main level from reception, further up the street is a gate with just a few steps and at the far end another gate with no steps. The gate nearest to our apartment had the most steps, however if you walk up the street you can access it that way (just if mobility and steps are an issue, the street outside is on a slope).

Our apartment was lower floor and had a really large terrace with good sturdy metal patio table and chairs. Beyond the terrace was a more public terrace which had two sunloungers and a parasol, it felt like an extension to our patio and still fairly private and secluded. Nobody else other than our upstairs neighbour would realistically sit there, so it was a great bonus, the only issue was we didn't get much sunbathing weather during the week. Even during the day it could get a little chilly, but it was still a good break from the bitter cold of the UK.

inside the apartment was open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen. We had a fresh modern sofa bed which converted into a comfortable double, an IKEA rocking chair. The sideboard offered additional storage, but the only drawers, shelves or hanging space were in the bedroom. Sturdy pine table and four chairs  lead towards the kitchen area which is laid out galley style. The four ring hob was ceramic and had touch controls. We had a microwave, toaster and kettle. There was minimal kitchen utensils and equipment, but not really an issue, we are used to improvising. Fridge had an ice box but no ice cube tray so we bought a bag of ice from the supermarket instead.

The apartment was actually two bedroomed but the second bedroom was locked out of use. It seemed most of the apartments were two bedroomed, they must sell them all as either one or two bedroomed and block off accordingly. A shame because the third person still had to sleep on a sofa bed with bedding that was not designed to fit it. The bedroom that was in use faced rearward over an outside area we could access from the kitchen. The windows were barred and this meant we could open them for air and feel secure. Mattresses were very comfortable, but overall it was a purely functional basic room. Additional blankets were provided in the wardrobe which gad an assortment of hangers.

The bathroom was clean and functional, a little dated, but still tidy. Bath with shower attachment over, toilet, sink and bidet.

WiFi could be picked up around the grounds but I instead used my own data as it was easier. Our TV had BBC1, BBC2 and ITV. There were also a good number of foreign TV channels.

There seemed to be only one housekeeper who looked after the small complex and she was busy all day every day, but cheerful as she went about her work. The complex has a resident cat who wears a collar and is looked after by all the staff, during the day she will sleep in reception until it closes before she goes of to patrol the street outside, sometimes camping by the supermarket at the corner. Everyone knows her name and where she comes from. Quite often she would sit on our patio, we did not mind as we have cats, but you should not feed any of the cats and if you don't like cats then you can ignore her or shoo her, she will know not to come back. She seems adept at finding out who will fuss her and once you do she comes back. If you don't she will move along. She is a pretty cat and the housekeeper especially fond of her, always calling out for her in the morning. So if you aren't a cat lover you might not like it here. I only saw one other cat on the complex, but as I said there is one resident cat.

The pool on the complex is small, but sufficient for the size of the complex. The weather meant nobody used it and only a small handful say around it, though in summer this might be very different.

All of the terraces face in a South-southwestern direction so when the sun does come out you get it for the rest of the day until it sets which is great for sunseekers.

Outside of the complex as you walk out of the gate to the left just a minute stroll is a well stoked mini-Market for essentials. Turn to the right and next left following the road and eventually you will arrive at the sea front strip in ten minutes. To the left will take you through a residential area and continuing on over the next road eventually you will arrive in the Pocillos area.

We found the resort very quiet, unusually during this visit. The flight out was around 3/4 full and this seemed to translate in footfall in bars and restaurants, especially at night. It felt like something was lacking. Weather may have been a factor and many choosing to stay in. I have been to Lanzarote a few times in January and had excellent weather, it is the luck of the draw.

I would recommend the Teneguia. It is a small and friendly complex in a fairly quiet location with ammenties close to hand and of course their resident cat was a funny character. Cheap, clean and tidy. Do not expect frills such as aircin or super strength WiFi and you will be fine. 

A quiet wintersun break. 

We stayed 6 nights. The apartment is large and has a comfortable balcony. We stayed on the first floor, better than the ground floor because it's a passing area. Unfortunately the beds are separate and the house as a whole is a little wet. Too bad because with air conditioners it would have been better. The wifi only takes in the living room. The TV takes various channels including some Italians. The only note of lack of support and cleanliness.

Without shame and without glory

I was in the middle of December. I was fine, I took the mini apartment with kitchen. It's located near the long sea so in the evening you can walk out and in a few minutes you get along the sea where you can take a walk and where there's everything... both restaurants and shops. a note about the hotel... the wifi even though it doesn't actually get to all the rooms or at least where I've been and even though it's not always been convenient (a basic resource for a tourist without a phone) the beds as you see in the photo are two single beds and even if you're a couple cmq stay separate... I have them together but cmq are not a couple bed... a little uncomfortable.
