The campsite itself is fine, and the staff is friendly too. However, it is said here that you have a beach volleyball court. I think this is a bit exaggerated. There are no lines and the net is completely hanging. Unfortunately, there was no à la carte lunch at the restaurant and the buffet meal did not make such an appealing impression.

Pleasant campsite with small weaknesses

There is a nice beach (there is even a dog beach and a dog playground). The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful (we had to book a doctor's appointment, the young receptionist helped us a lot!)

Camping with everything in and out - very friendly and helpful staff

We stayed for a few nights in a bungalow. Location: the campsite is beautiful between or partly in the forest and Sweden's largest lake near Karlstad. From our cottage we had a view of the water through the trees. Bungalow: our bungalow was quite spacious and nicely furnished on the large terrace there is a barbecue. Service/equipment: Throughout the square there are many small and large crazy playgrounds. Hudem has a nice (à la minigolf) facility at the reception. At the lake there is also a relatively large beach, whereas during our visit to the beach there is always a slightly wetter one).

Am staying 1 night at this scenically placed campsite on Lake Vanern near Karlstad in Swedish Lake District allocated a stony grassy pitch right beside the entrance exit gate to ensure I suffer the noise of all entrances and exits, pay over £38 for the “privilege” try to eat at the on-site “restaurant” queue and be ignored by stalk for 15 minutes waiting for a table when many are empty. Then he told no printed menus are available and can hear many seated guests asking when there food will be ready after extended waits. On asking waitress how long a simple dish of Fish and Chips would take she calls over the so called “Manager” who tells us to scan and download the QR code at the table for what’s on offer and cannot give a wait time for any dish, this is the “Owners” policy. I ask to speak to the Owner and am then told to leave by “The Manager” who refuses me service. I told him what I think of him and his so called customer service and cook my own meal at my Motorhome “Entry/Exit barrier space. Do not waste your time and money frequenting this couldn’t care less so called
Family campsite. I would rate it no ⭐️ if available and will tell all my Motorhome friends who number in the thousands across Europe to avoid it like the Plaugue!!!

Appalling Customer Service, worst in my experience of over 50 years !! Avoid this place

Nice camp site!. We spent a couple of nights here in our RV. Asked for a sunny spot and got it, it was also flat, much appreciated.  Nice amenities and there is even a restaurant. The pizzas were tempting but we had already planned our dinner. Well stocked store and corona measures were everywhere.  There is a nice sand beach belonging to the camping.  We cycled to central Karlstad on bycycle paths, took approximately 30 minutes.  Can recommend this place! 
We could see that there were many types of cottages for rent.

Quiet and clean

My wife and I stayed for two nights here in our motor home.  Friendly and helpful reception with English spoken. It is a very large site with many statics. It is a ”Camping Key” site (i.e., you need to be a member), but they allowed us to stay as a ‘guest’ (we later went on-line to join the Camping Key club – free – as quite a few sites in Sweden are apparently Camping Key sites). The pitch we were allocated was quite muddy so we went back to reception and managed to get it changed. The passes are grassy and quite spacious.  Reasonable facilities; showers by card (free) but only last about 2 minutes, and you need to go back to reception to get additional showers on the card). There is a bus in to Karlstad every hour from just outside the camp. It is also possible to cycle in safely on an excellent cycle path, around 6 miles. Overall, a good site and relatively well placed for visiting Karlstad  - well worth visiting.

Good for visiting Karlstad

This camping site offers everything we want. Great spot for our tent with electric Connection. Clean toilets, free showers helpful staff, lovely beach. Located near Karlstad, 5 minutes from shopping center. Quiet at night also. We couldn't ask for more.

Everything as we hoped for!

Is this the best campsite in Europe ? We are long distance travelers in our motor home from Britain. This year was Baltic States & Scandinavia. This site is friendly, well stocked, scrupulously clean and in a fantastic location on the lake. Everything was perfect - the motor home service area even had a tyre pressure pump (I have never seen one on any other site). If you are in central Sweden, this is THE place to stay.

A superb site in central Sweden

The camping is half an hour outside the citycenter of Karlstad, situated directly at the lake. It has a beautiful sandy beach wonderful views over the lake.
Tha Lake has shallow waters and is safe for children to play.
The reception and shop are amongst the best we have seen and the nice places (we travelled by camper) between the pine trees had a special quiet atmospheer.
We were planning to stay only one night, but stayed three nights. We also explored Karlstad and surrounding and there is much to see and to do.

The most beautiful camping on our tour through Scandinavia

A large facility where everyone can find their place. Whether by the water, in the forest or near the service houses. Modern, very clean sanitary facilities.
