Easy to get too, although slightly noisy from external and internal sources. car parking at rear but very limited on space. quite close to tube station for London city. Well equipped room (tv, coffee/tea etc) and clean .

Nice hotel near the Gants Hill metro station on the central line, clean and comfortable, very professional staff, nice lounge room.

Not bad.

Had to close the hotel down today, what a pity it was in a great location and , well decorated. I suspect it will get a new owner and get back to its original splendour. If it does reopen , I would suggest it for its convenience.

I booked this hotel last min and thought I was getting a good deal, but...
First problem the email stated all guests had to bring photo id I called the hotel in the morning and asked if this was required so we could make sure we bring it, but the lady on the phone said only 1 id is required...which is the standard for most hotels. When I got there the man on reception said we all had to have id or we couldn't check in. I was arguing with him for quite a while as I had specifically called in the morning to check this and now they was saying something different. In the end they let us check in but it took ages.
The biggest problem with this hotel is the noise. Its located right next to a nightclub which we wasn't made aware of. We had stayed for 2 nights and literally got no sleep. The music was so load and then there was constant drunk people outside all night being extremely loud and then fights breaking out and police cars driving past for both the nights. Did not get any sleep at all.
Also room was ok but they only seemed to have one accessible plug socket which was annoying. And we was told we could get lunch at the hotel but we wasn't told they don't serve food on Saturdays. Not very informative with the required information!!

misleading hotel

Stayed with family August 2017

Location: Very close to Gants Hill Tube station - we picked this hotel due to its proximity with the central line connection to Stratford for the World Championships 2017. Hotel was clean but note it has its own bar (open at weekends seemingly - friday/sat as when we came back on sunday it was closed) as well as being next to nightclub so bring ear plugs lol. Good range of restaurants nearby though we didn't eat at any of the places due to us visiting elsewhere. 

Staff: Professional. No issues. 

Rooms: Rooms were clean. Served its purpose. Functional with tea/coffee facilities. As prev alluded be sure to bring ear plugs if you are easily troubled by noise. 

Food: English breakfast included- cereals, eggs, bacon, toast and coffee/juice. Reasonable selection for the hotel/price paid. 

Wifi: Hotel provided free wifi (security code given at check in ) 

Parking: The major issue was that there are limited parking spaces (you can only park in places marked with st georgio stamp) - there is a pay and display parking further down the road or potentially search for paid private parking in the residential area closeby and rent it beforehand (Which is what we did as we read about the lack of parking from other reviews) 

All in all, a good stay and I would recommend the hotel.

Good stay and functional

I booked a double room for my parents. The rooms are quite fine, clean and all the basics covered, breakfast is all right. Beds are comfortable and the ones that face the back of the building are quiet despite being 2 clubs at the front of the hotel.

I give it 3 stars because I think is quite expensive for the area, it's almost an hour away from central London.

It's fine

A welcoming hotel, rooms are basic but clean. Bed was a decent size. Shower is tiny in the bathroom though so expect to hit your elbows off the walls while you shower!

Tv has freeview channels and the free wifi is a decent speed. 

It has car parking but it's very limited. Near the tube though and only an hour into central London. 

Our room was facing the front and it was noisy! Cars racing up and down all night - I'd ask for a room at the back.

Great place if you're looking for a cheap overnight stay but I probably wouldn't book again.

Comfortable place

The cleaning lady pulled my bag of dirty clothes out of my bag. In every hotel I was doing the same thing, I kept it in a bag and took it home, as we all do. I never passed this, the bag was open and it was obvious that it was clothes, I never thought I would touch my things. On the reception side there was no excuse or solution, we were denied the complaint sheet saying no. And we were treated like liars, saying that the cleaning girl would not touch anything, that we were safe. So that my days ended with a bad taste in my mouth because of the professional incompetence of the hotel staff.

They pulled out my dirty clothes.

We've been here for 5 days, so if you're sleeping in a noisy room, ask for a room that's not on the street, you'll always hear cars, motorcycles.... and besides down there's a pub.

Hotel Hotel

The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, essential but discreet. The bathroom is small but clean and accessorized with phon, baths, clean towels. The breakfast is good, typical English with eggs, sausage, bacon but also toast, cheese, butter, marmalade, sweets and various juices. The staff is very friendly and available. They are well organized as they have a luggage storage room for those who have to leave the room but still have the day available. In the area there are a couple of restaurants and locals, a market, a pastry shop. Very close to the subway of Gants Hill which in 35 minutes brings you downtown (Central line - Red Line). Consider that this hotel is already in area 4. Very uncomfortable, the locals have a baggage storage room for those who have to leave the room but still have the day available.
