We planed a long weekend with my husband at the last minute and we had no option but to book this hotel. We said, well at least is cheaper than the other ones.... 
OMG ! You get (much less) what you pay for... 
There was a double bed in our room and we had to move the two bags if he wanted to go to the badroom. 
There's no front desk or entry, so you have to go in the shop and then ask for the stairs to the rooms. If the shop is closed, pray for your life... I've seen other travellers pictures... imagine that place by midnight.  No lights, dirty, full of rats, homeless and guys doing drugs... 
Not sure this bulding has a hotel permit.

Have you seen ghost, the film? well, it's worst...

Level location, the hostel is super well placed, in Oxford Street, in a street where there are only perfect shops to shop, bars are not far from walking about 10-15 minutes. Room a little noisy on weekdays from the many work that does not stop (night and day). If you go on holiday to rest, you will have to choose another accommodation unless you have heavy sleep. Clean room, housekeeping is done every morning by a room maid. Easy to find on arrival. I recommend especially for groups of friends not too demanding. At the price and location level there is no less expensive in this type of neighborhood in London.

Right for a weekend.

We were in London for the first time; two mothers with three daughters.Incredibly arranged wallpapers of a red one never seen before and blankets that originally...many years ago, were meant to be leopardised.Surreal entrances.One through a souvenir shop and the other through a dark and barely accessible alley.Nobody except us received a very nice, kind and available Bulgarian waitress.Small bathroom.You can wash in a 20-centimeter washing machine comfortably seated on the toilet.Luckily sheets and napkins were clean.

Luckily we were downtown.

Too bad it's just a hostel. The area is great. Comfortable in Camden Town...in the heart of the bustle, shops and markets. The lady is fantastic, courteous. I change towels and bathroom (common) clean every day. Small kitchen to use. Rooms with bathroom. In the hot tub with tea, tea and coffee... fridge, TV. The phon/hair dryer to ask for. The size of the rooms is normal with other London facilities. The structure is not new, but well maintained by the lady.

A courteous person

It's a simple room, not a hotel. NOM TROMPEUR enters through a store during the opening hours, if not through a notorious courtyard.

Not a hotel at all

It's true that the hotel is in the back of a shop, a fatiguing structure, tiny rooms with no room for movement, zero comfort. But very central, discreetly clean, very available staff and affordable price for the very high standards in the area.

Depends on your point of view.

I was here last summer with two friends. We didn't have much expectations. We didn't expect anything. But... we left the fact that we walked through a souvenir shop.

But it's not!

We're a young French couple and we're not really difficult, but here! 130€ a five-square-meter room the bed takes up all the space! toilets and showers glued to the door of the room! single-glazed old wooden window overlooking Oxford Street very commercial! the sheets of another era like a passing room! The entrance to this 'hotel' is a dirty souvenir shop, you have to go through a very dirty yard infested with rats to get into your room or you regret having gone on vacation to London! A real shame! a real advice to run and don't turn around!

And most importantly, don 't turn around!

We are two guys, we are not two old snob mice, and we have visited the London rat shop once again from April 30th to May 5th. We chose the Marisa Hotel for the very central location and the relatively low price (630€ for 5 nights). We arrived at Stansted very late and we reached downtown London at about 2:30 pm. I want to assume that the hotel is accessed through a white rat shop which is open from 10 am to 22 pm. We followed the best advice from the rat shop and we had to take a mouse mouse at the bottom of the hotel for the very central location and the relatively low price (630€ for 5 nights).

Modest hotel but with BIG problems!!

The entrance is in a shop, the façade looks like a haunted mansion, the rooms are the size of the bed. The place is old, the boilers available in the rooms are full of creamy water (experience on 2 bedrooms so not a forget in mine) Unable to sleep because of the noise and poor insulation. One of the worst experiences at the accommodation level.
